Yes, the call isn’t for three hours, why do you ask?
I feel for you. Scheduled probably means it’s an important call, and it’s like the whole day’s on pause just waiting to get it over with.

Or waiting for a tradie to turn up ‘some time between 7 and 5’.
Bluey taught me what a tradie is 👀
I’ve never seen this word spelled before. Why is it not tradey? I don’t like this.
This is every day for me as an engineer. Every day there are calls with important conversations. Its exhausting. I thought I’d be able to find a job where I could keep my head down and work, but thats not reality.
Also an engineer. I’m lucky that most of my meetings are before noon now after I moved to a different time zone. Though, that also means I have early meetings I have to be alert and ready for. Of course by the time I have a couple hours at the end of my work day to actually get something done I am mentally exhausted and need to start resting for my early morning meetings the next day.
It’s always fun to push these mentally challenging tasks through the week, because there is no straight 2h to focus
Its easier if you work with people you like.
I have a 4pm doctors appointment. Adhd says…Nothing getting done today.
I’ve just been working up to an hour before and jerking it until the call starts.
the other day someone asked me why I was out of breath and had to convince them I was just working out and lost track of time.
not a lie really, just some really good cardio.
Waiting for that teams meeting
What’s up with all the “waah, I have a job” posts lately?

as someone on the adhd spectrum, there are hardly any worse than short obligations around midday and early afternoon. i feel that i can’t make any plans for before and afterwards, so the whole day revolves around this one little thing…

I have work obligations today 4-7pm. Thats it. The rest of the day is mine to do with as I please. I am paralyzed, lol. WTF DO I DO?!?!

End your day at 2pm. Start a new day at 2:01. Midnight is arbitrary.

Is it that you just cannot relax due to the appointment? I’m interested in how it feels for you.

it depends on the seriousness of the appointment, but mostly it feels like if i start something else in between i wouldn’t have enough time to finish the task, i might get sidetracked and totally overwhelmed and everything is just stressful. even if it’s an easy and everyday task i’m doing in between, i’m suddenly feeling a lot of stress and pressure. so to some extent it’s bad time management due to getting sidetracked, fear of failure and that combination leads to radical time management: don’t do any task before! and for similar reasons the time afterwards is also somewhat uncomfortable
