I’ve heard electric kettles are slower here because of the limits of our electrical system. I do have a kettle for the stove, though. I also rarely drink tea.

Wouldn’t the whey protein look like that too, up close?

Wait wait. What would happen if a long half-strand of DNA tried to pair with another but there was one letter wrong in the middle?

Turning zombie virus transmission off and experience gain rate up made it more fun for me, solo. But I do still occasionally play with others and that is fun.

I do believe it’s made with real orange, especially if you’re get it from a street vendor near the beach. Been years since I had it.
- Comment on Why isn't apple a popular ice cream flavor? 2 months ago:
Why isn’t orange (the fruit) ice cream more popular? I don’t mean sherbet, I mean ice cream. It can be bought in Florida, but I’ve never heard of it anywhere else.

Haha, yes, everyone else is trying to ruin my fun. I can fly sometimes, but not for long, and it’s a real struggle to stay airborne.
- Comment on Anon learns how to lucid dream 3 months ago:
I’m glad I’m not alone. My husband barely dreams at all.
- Comment on Anon learns how to lucid dream 3 months ago:
By the purest definition (being aware that you are dreaming), I lucid dream nearly every night. I never did anything special to achieve this.
But, it’s not as fun as they make it sound. At some point, my mind started resisting me. Sure, I can do anything I want… sometimes. However, most of the time, anything I change goes back to the way is was immediately.
I also used to be able to wake myself up while lucid dreaming. For instance, maybe I would be aware that I am napping, and I need to wake up. So, I would. But, my mind now resists that as well. When I try to wake myself up, sometimes I just wake up into another dream. And, for whatever reason, I am not aware that I am dreaming in the new dream.
None of this upsets me too much, but it is annoying. I think it may be related to some sort of mild, generalized sleeping disorder I have. I experience sleep paralysis and insomnia episodes, but they’ve never been frequent or upsetting enough for me to seek treatment.

According to Wikipedia: “One of the reasons why adults emerge in winter seems to be the absence of predators.” Another reason seems to be reproduction, which is probably why the adult form does not eat. They mate “indiscriminately,” apparently. Sounds like a good time.

Oh, I guess it was you who didn’t say fen. But it’s probably more correct to leave “fen” out, at least if you want to be understood. It is not s common word, I had to look it up.
- Comment on Giant spiders the size of rats making a comeback in UK 3 months ago:
As a native speaker, I’ve never heard the word “fen” in my life. So, that’s probably why they didn’t say that.

I’m from the USA, and when I first heard “digga,” I was certainly confused! It seems the youth say it even more than the generation that invented the phrase now.
Anyway, English speakers have an old phrase that is similar and might help some understand the usage of the word “thick” here. The phrase is “thick as thieves” - meaning thieves stick together.

I hear how terrible synthetic-ruber tires (read: all modern tires) are for the environment, and I’ve wondered why we can’t do this? If we made the cars lighter and used very good shocks? Or bikes even - they are all rubber too.

But burning isn’t how your body utilizes the calories. Some things burn just fine yet are entirely useless as a (human) food source, like wood. This complicates things.
For instance, we still don’t know if our bodies can actually use ethanol (drinking alcohol) as a fuel source. Is that vodka shot adding to your daily calorie intake?
- Comment on I would maybe like a smart watch, can you help me decide? 7 months ago:
If you ever sweat, like ever, smart watches may not be for you. I’ve had 3, different brands (all Android Wear OS), and my sweat eventually tarnished the charging contacts to the point of no use (even after being cleaned with alcohol and something abrasive) all three times.
So, if you sweat, you’re gonna wanna make sure the charging contacts don’t touch your skin. Ever.
