  Personally, in his shoes, I’d press charges hard and get this as deep in the legal system as possible.

  Now, you may say “But that’s not what our legal system allows”, to which I ask you to look at history. Every dictator, on their path to becoming a dictator eliminates political opponents first. Then no one stands before them on their path to unrestricted dictatorship.

    Execution of a senator would be quite the step up. You gotta build a little more facism first before we hit that.

    Maybe year 2.5 we will get to senators being executed.

    I don’t know if there’s video footage of Padilla specifically preceding this moment of the press conference, but I think this clip captures most of what happened. Here’s a description from AP News:

    Padilla interrupted the news conference after Noem delivered a particularly pointed line, saying federal authorities were not going away but planned to stay and increase operations to “liberate” the city from its “socialist” leadership.

      Pretty sure there’s gotta be a law against the federal government officially attacking a state to remove democratically elected officials.

      Because that’s exactly what her statement says they are there to do. Nothing about immigration or protests.
