Well now I want “Mealworms, 5KG” just to open it outside!

      Right ?

My brain immediately said “where could pick 5kg of meal worms ?”

I’ve managed to deescalate , and now it’s just on my bucket list

I bought this quantity of super worms for my turtles…

And omg it’s so much. It’s like a 5gallon bucket full of dehydrated crawlies. I wish I could get that quantity of dried river shrimp, but so so so much more expensive.

Anyway, I have no idea what I’m going to do with them… I doubt my little 3 inch turtle is going to be able to consume them in the max 10 years he has left… (I had two when I bought them, but the big female one died a few months later. No idea what happened, but they were halfway to their max lifespan at the time, and she deteriorated too fast to do anything about it, so…) so I guess feeding them to crows might be a good bet. Get me a corvid following. I’ve always wanted a minion army.

        “Oooh yeah, 5kg of mealworms!”

        “The, wha, why…?”

        “AAAAAAHH! Haha”

They call them meal worms for a reason, am I right?

One of my neighbors in my old apartment building must have dropped these or something. They would come up through the baseboards in the carpet.

It only started happening a few years after I moved in so it’s not like it was a previous tenant in my unit. It was gross. I moved.

Every warning sign has an origin story…

    source
  • lugal@lemmy.world ⁨5⁩ ⁨months⁩ ago

This is true for a very not obvious reason:

People who ignore the sign are disobedient and therefore suspicious. That’s why they send all available drones to that person to intimidate them.

Does the disclaimer on the box say “Not for human consumption” or “Fit for human consumption”?

      Yes

    • AutistoMephisto@lemmy.world ⁨5⁩ ⁨months⁩ ago

Probably says “Fit for human consumption”. Humans can actually eat mealworms.

Eeeh, considering it’s followed by a warning not to feed the mealworms to farm animals, my bet is on “not for human consumption”

I used to buy mealworm for the garden birds, and I can confirm this warning is needed. I used to get told off by one bird if I took too long giving him his worms.

Can confirm. I opened this post outside, and was immediately swarmed. The last thing I saw before my eyes were pecked out was someone bearing a strong resemblance to Alfred Hitchcock…
