Local bands are fun. That’s about all I can afford.

I remember I went to WrestleMania 18 as a teen and it was $100 a ticket and I was appalled at the expense. They’re coming back to Toronto so I wanted to check prices to take my kid, and the tickets are roughly $1500 each now.

Pre pandemic (and pre metoo accusations against him) I went to a Manson/slipknot concert for $75. After the pandemic I checked tickets for a similar tier band and it was $300. We got fucked and just accepted it

On the other hand I am going to see Jimmy Carr live for like 30-40 euros.

I think that actually has a value, concerts I find to be meh, it’s the same music you listen to anyway just very expensive, worse quality and surrounded by sweat, alcohol and too many people.

I prefer going to a festival and then maybe there is a band like and maybe I discover some new ones.
