Managed to pick the parcel up on the way back from the dentist. I also had another parcel coming from Amazon which apparently needed a password to be delivered, but my case manager put her number down on the order, so the delivery man called her and she gave him the code and he left it.

Had to get a filling today, and he anaesthetised my face. I dislike my face being anaesthetised, but it did mean i didn’t feel a thing after the initial needle jab. I’m starting to regain feeling now. Apparently I need 1 more filling and then I’ll be referred off to somewhere or rather to have my wisdom teeth removed. I’m going to see if I can have it done privately, because it’ll be a year or more wait to get it done through the dental hospital. Also, they’ll probably put me completely under (which to be honest I’m terrified of), whereas a dental surgery place will probably just use a ton of local anaesthetic (according to the dentist).

Either way it’s going to fucking suck.

I also had a thought while I was at the dentist: if we ever discover scary unfriendly aliens, we should just mildly sedate them and make them go to the dentist. The dentist is terrifying, even when it doesn’t hurt.

watching the Vocalyst do reacts to John Farnham and honestly this woman is just lost in the sauce as soon as he opens his mouth. I don’t know whether to laugh or be humbled by how much we just take farnsey for granted

I tried a so called cooling memory foam pillow for six months. And while it wasn’t terrible it just simply doesn’t mould to your heat in the same way as a duck down pillow, so I’ve acquiesced and bought a good duck down pillow with 80% down 20% feather core.

Was it cheap? Hell no but I’m looking forward to improved and more consistent sleep.

I recommend watching this 10-minute highlight reel of this morning’s Matilda’s game before it is inevitably removed by Youtube:

    Such a roller-coaster of a game.

I have pikag coming today, but it’s going to come right when I’m at the dentist. I can’t ask them to leave it because apparently the sender specifically told them they’re not allowed to. They don’t usually get parcels to the post office until after they close, and the post office is a PITA to get to by PT, so I probably won’t get pigak until Friday :(

Morning all. Hope you had a great weekend.

I was in the mood for a horror movie set at camp and found a couple. I watched one made in 83 called Camp Sleepaway. It actually wasn’t too bad, has some out of date thinking around some issues (won’t say because it’s a spoiler) but the special effects are surprisingly really good, especially for the 80s.

Also I’ve noticed in the older movies, kids sound whiny as. Think how Luke Skywalker sounds at the start of a New Hope. That high pitched whine when he can’t go to Toshi Station.

But the real star of the show was guy. The total package and screen stealer. I laughed for a good five minutes at this part.

No Dan. The fashion was not good in the 80s. I owned a pair of brown corduroy knickerbockers and wore them with knee-high socks and desert boots. You are wrong.

Oh, I didn’t know you had a role in the movie. 😆

(I’m pretty sure that look is in the movie)

Has anyone used Wix to make a website? I’m thinking of creating an author website but have zero experience in making them so if possible I’d love to use something idiot proof and hear Wix is good for that.

I’ve been using Wordpress lately and there’s been a decent learning curve with that. I’ve persevered but it’s far from idiot proof. Have a look at Squarespace, that was the other option I was considering and is more beginner friendly.

      @danwritesbooks @Seagoon_
I started out with dokuwiki but it unexpectedly stopped working. I caved and used the default wordpress. Wordpress isn't actually popular, it's just the default provided by most ISP.

I have used Wordpress before and might have to bite the bullet. Wix is a bit too expensive for me.

I had a client engage a web developer who in-turn used Wix to create a basic site. It was a pretty negative experience for us, but it was cheap to host. We had issues splitting off a dev/staging site in particular. It’s been about 6 years, my memory is foggy and the product may have improved.

Wix might be ok for a sole trader and a quiet website though. I wouldn’t recommend it for any business that wanted to regularly maintain/update their site.

Ok so I need some opinions on these music backs for Beat Saber.

I’ll one day pick them all up but what priorities should I put them in?

I’ve picked these because they appeal to my musical tastes and seem like fun to play around with.

Below are the packs with what songs are in them.

Let me know what you think!

    Lady Gaga

Alejandro Bad romance Born this way Just dance Paparazzi Poker face Rain on me Stupid Love Telephone Edge of Glory

    Rock Mix

Born to be wild - Steppenwolf Eye of the Tiger - Survivor Freebird - lynyrd Skynyrd I was made for login’ you - KISS Seven nation army - The white stripes Smells like teen spirit - Nirvana Sweet child O mine - Guns N’ Roses The Pretender - Foo Fighters

    Queen

Another one bites the dust Bohemian Rhapsody Crazy little thing called love Don’t stop me now I want it all Killer Queen One vision Somebody to love Stone cold Crazy Where are the champions We will rock you

I’ve had the Rock Mix for beat saber on the occulus and it was a lot of fun!

Having looked up what that is (kinda Wii let’s dance and various raving rabbits levels)

I’d pick Rock first simply for diversity, but suspect GaGa will prove most fun and athletic

I’ll try and give an explaination.

It’s a virtual reality game where you wield light sabers and slash blocks in time to the music depending on difficulty.

There’s also walls you have to dodge from left to right or squat/duck under.

It’s super fun and even better if you like the music.
