@maniacalmanicmania @Skyline969 there was an outbreak of norwegian bedbugs in a hotel in Western australia. Mattress burning followed and the issue contained. Generally the turnover of un-shared bedding is preventative.

A dually there are five apps on Google play 'FOR LEMMY'
Not sure I get why?
I thought interoperability was the draw for the fediverse, but MASTODON is unable to see the lemmy daily threads.
Is Jerboa any better or does it also have limitations? - Comment on Daily Discussion Thread: 🐈📦 Friday, September 20, 2024 2 months ago:

I am a newbie to the fediverse and a mastodon user, so I can't see the original lemmy topic. just chiming in to say I am fascinated by the restraint of the combatants over legitimacy on the turf. I am not quite sure how one participates in the fediverse without comments. I can see how this would be considered interjections by some, not always welcome. - Comment on Daily Discussion Thread: 🧦😺🧦😺🏋️😺🧦😺🧦Sunday, August 11, 2024 4 months ago:

Apparently the revolutionary French visited Australia and declared Australia practised "Socialism without doctrine". That was long ago and trades hall today is a museum of collapsed trade unions. Both left and right totalitarian systems are currently regarded as frightfully modern era and intemperate. I can't wait to see what comes after post-modernism. - Comment on Daily Discussion Thread 🎾🥇 Sunday, August 4, 2024 4 months ago:

- Comment on Compulsory voting in Australia is 100 years old. We should celebrate how special it makes our democracy 4 months ago:
@hanrahan @Ilandar
Contrast this with the old world where historically in britain, there were centuries when only landowners were allowed to vote. The industrial revolution saw new laws that allowed those with a certain acreage OR enough cash could vote. The system was horrifically skewed towards the wealthy. I can completely understand early Australian insistence that all adults vote and then extending it to include Aboriginal people in 1967. Nobody is excluded from contributing to legislation. At least we must all chose a party every four years. On the other hand- in the age of the internet - Why we aren't voting online over party membership, platform and policy decisions beggars belief. There are attempts to make a difference. Both by direct action (XR as example) and indirect pressure https://ccl.org.au/ - Comment on Daily Discussion Thread: 🧔👱💈 Monday, July 22, 2024 4 months ago:

The health care system is pretty broken for neurotypical people too. Expect long waits with a temporary blanket and bowl of porridge for those that qualify. Later, write to your MP about the lack of funds. - Comment on Daily Discussion Thread: 🧔👱💈 Monday, July 22, 2024 5 months ago:

Australia should be exporting SPAMB (canned spiced lamb) instead of live sheep. Keep the labour local and remove the argument about third world lack of refrigeration. True globalism would see spambwiches being served in cornish high tea and alaskan cafeterii. - Comment on Daily Discussion Thread: 🚒 🔥 🏭 Thursday, July 11, 2024 5 months ago:
