I have finally completed a long-avoided task and identified and sorted out my sewing machine feet. Some of the vintage ones took a bit of sleuthing to figure out what they are. The mechanical complexity of some of the old attachments is extremely impressive.

I love how the feet for my 1906 Singer treadle fit my 2020 Janome electric machine , I learnt to sew on an old machine and how to use the feet, I’ve forgotten now and anyway the tin with all the feet has been lost

Tender Mercies - Glen Hansard and Eddie Vedder.
When Eddie toured years ago, he had Glen Hansard as his support. I got tickets at the last minute. I got stuck in traffic and couldn’t find a park in St Kilda and walked into Glen Hansard ripping it out full ball on his last song. I was wanting so much to see him play, and I only got the last song. I’d seen him play the Recital Centre and he was just phenomenal. If you’re ever able to see him, it’s worth it … Eddie was great, but I was actually looking forward to Glen Hansard more. They then recorded this album (which I think is a film soundtrack), that features this song.
