I literaly cooked something like this yesterday, a traditional dish from Algiers called “the pretty lady’s breasts in the mirror” (sder chaba fel mraya). Basically you boil some lamb with onion and cinnamon (and a fuckton of olive oil and butter), then you put unsalted goat cheese slices on the meat pieces, whipped egg whites with lemo juice, and the yolks without breaking them (the titular “breasts” I guess), and all in the oven. It’s… traditional.

Yeah, the steak looks like it was cooked some before the eggs were dropped in, so it won't be the prettiest but should cook and taste just fine.
