Probably more effective to give to a food pantry to avoid the corporate profit cut, but the thought is very nice.

I am not quite sure what the joke is about, could you explain? Those helmets seem to be used for preventing injuries in case of health conditions like epilepsy, but I can’t make a connection at all
sugar_in_your_tea@sh.itjust.works 1 week ago
They’re saying OP is slow and the helmet is there to prevent them from hurting themselves in the future.
OP isn’t paying for the order, they’re ordering over the phone for local pickup, which means they’d pay when they arrive. And OP isn’t going to the store for pickup…

Yeah, the last part I got, the first part looks like a bit of a stretch, but thanks I’ll think about it

What is corporate profit cut?
workerONE@lemmy.world 1 week ago
The restaurant is making food and it cuts into their profit
SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 1 week ago
But it has a happy employee and they work harder, making the restaurant more money.

What is corporate profit cut?
I’m guessing it means he’s calling franchise restaurants and not mom and pop shops.
JohnDClay@sh.itjust.works 1 week ago
I thought they’d be ordering online and paying in advance. But if not, sounds okay
ASeriesOfPoorChoices@lemmy.world 1 week ago
did you not read the words?
IMongoose@lemmy.world 1 week ago
Many restaurants let people pay when they pick up or get the food delivered. So doing this costs the restaurant money, not OP. That’s why he’s spoofing his info too, if he paid they probably wouldn’t care enough to ban the number.
JohnDClay@sh.itjust.works 1 week ago
Okay cool, I thought they were ordering online and pre paying.
ASeriesOfPoorChoices@lemmy.world 1 week ago
you think “calling” means “ordering online”? what the hell do you think caller id is?
