- Comment on Anon explains scam callers 3 hours ago:
Some of them are in it for the love of the game. For whatever reason I get a shit load of spam calls to my work phone and sometimes I’ll fuck with them. I can’t remember what I was telling this dude, but he started slurring his words and I asked him if he was ok and if he had any plans for the weekend. I hung up like a minute later and the dude called me back. I just asked him why and he was like “I dunno lol”.

Damn. My 8 month old bit me.
- Comment on Hey, do americans just want to take a break from normal politics for a bit and focus all our efforts solely on the wild boar problem? 5 days ago:
There have only been like 5 wild boar deaths in the US in the past 200 years: nytimes.com/…/texas-woman-killed-feral-hogs.html
- Comment on dear republicans, what's the point of alienating every single ally of the US? 3 weeks ago:
Honestly asking: what other way would anyone suggest to bring back outsourced manufacturing jobs?
Probably with some sort of long term plan instead of randomly turning sweeping tariffs on and off.

Turns two very good breeds into a mystery box. The breeders claim that they are hypoallergenic, which is not guaranteed, and they claim that they don’t need to be groomed, but they usually do. Most reputable breeders don’t breed them so they are usually in worse health than pure bred dogs from a reputable breeder for more money.
Basically, they are a scam. The puppies sure are cute though.

The real problem is that the paper clips were on backwards.

I hadn’t even heard of that, I’ll add it to the list. Thanks!

Re: DCU, THE Suicide Squad is quite enjoyable. The series Peacemaker that is a spin-off of it is also good. THE Batman is good, and the Penguin series is good.
But ya, they have some huge stinkers. I basically just assume a DCU product is going to be garbage. I can’t believe they still let Zack Snyder make movies.
- Comment on What keeps Americans from being mad about the state of their country? 1 month ago:
Most people won’t talk politics unless they know the other person’s opinions already. I’ve had discussions about every day with my friends and wife, but there is no way I’m going to get into a discussion with my parents or maga coworker. I don’t have the energy to debunk every stupid thing they say when they won’t change their mind.
- Comment on imagine 1 month ago:
I don’t think they’ve successfully sued anyone for that. The few cases I saw last time I looked people were intentionally germinating or saving/selling seeds.

I searched “hot dog” over Chicago and clicked a random restaurant, they had green relish: maps.app.goo.gl/DUp5py5jVHQJBSGXA?g_st=ac
- Comment on Anon gives up on Bitcoin in 2010 1 month ago:
Ya, I saw an article when Bitcoin was very new, like 10 cents each, and it said Bitcoin was stupid as a currency because there is a limited number of it and it will only increase in value which will cause people to horde it making it not valuable as a currency. They were kinda right tbf, it’s not a good currency.
I decided not to mine it because it would have cost as much in electricity as it was worth and the only thing I could buy were drugs which I don’t use.
- Comment on Anon watches The Terminator 1 month ago:
I’m not exactly sure if it does NICS specifically. The portal really just checks to see if they have a valid FOID (firearm owner ID, an Illinois special) card, but the foid card is linked to other data bases. I’m not super familiar with all the specifics. Relevant links:

It’s required in Illinois to use a private seller portal for private sales through the state police site. It does some kind of check and it’s free to use.
- Comment on Does the US really have no instruments in case a newly elected president immediatelly and openly exposes he's a nazi? 2 months ago:
Yes, being able to elect a criminal is by design. I’m sure all of the founders were designated as criminals by England. It’s the will of the people over the government which was like their whole thing.
Until the people change their mind we are stuck with Trump and or his cronies.
- Comment on why can't there be a soda dispenser for energy drinks? 2 months ago:
Panera bread basically did and a few people died, so that probably didn’t help.
- Comment on Now give me a treat 2 months ago:
People do train and compete with their dogs in scent work but they use essential oils. So there may be a market for scented toys but probably not for illegal stuff.
Also I’m not sure accidentally busting a drug trafficker is the key to a long healthy life lol.

- Comment on I got into the wrong career lol 2 months ago:
We were talking about winning the lotto at work once and I said with a million dollars I would probably quit if I could earn 5% interest on it to get 50k a year. My boss was like, that’s not enough you have to think about daycare and mortgage and car payments and everything. I then reminded him that I was currently making 30k a year. He stopped talking very quickly lol.

- Comment on where's my damn plume 3 months ago:
Huh? I just read this book and that was not in there. The kids just drank a potion and then could fly, there was no outward difference to them. Maybe you are mixing up a different one, like the chicken one? We just started that so idk how it goes. The cover has the girl as a chicken though.
- Comment on Related to the recent question: A family member has told me that my inheritance after they're gone is for becoming a live-with landlord. Is that ethical? 3 months ago:
They might if it’s in the will. That’s why OP was wondering about trusts and stuff, there may be a trust set up to only release funds when buying a duplex.
- Comment on When leftists say "landlord are parasites" or similar dislike of landlords, do they also mean the people that own like a couple of houses as an investment, or only the big landlords? 3 months ago:
Only do this if you have the means to pay that mortgage yourself, imo.
You and your sister are taking all of the risk here. Your friends could lose their job or simply just move after a short time and then you are on the hook to find more tenets. I suppose you could just sell it if they move but you may lose money.
You would be a great friend to do that for them so that you could essentially lock them into a fixed rent for many years, but understand that it is not without risk.
