I joined Lemmy cause Reddit kept banning me for saying Nazi should be met with a punch.
Not gonna lie. A lot of you are great. Some of you are up your own assholes and think it smells like flowers, some of you are way to sensitive, some of you are nutjobs.
But yall are okay for most part. I just wish I knew what the fuck yall were taking about most of the time. All this shit is confusing to me.
As a certified nut job I will say this place really reminds me of old school internet in a lot of ways. Sure is there a mild chance that I’ll piss someone off and get DMd furry gurro? Sure. But also lots of folks have become familiar identities on here.
Now if only I could stop getting into arguments with folks about pacifism or more specifically my rejection of pacifism for religious, philosophical, and cultural reasons.
I have literally never gotten DM’d furry guro. I dont think Ive ever been DM’d anything insulting or offensive before. Thats definitely a you issue.
As someone who has received something in a similar vein by simply mentioning I’m a woman and then telling someone I wasn’t interested in having sex with them (quite gently, considering it was inappropriate to ask me), you don’t have to do a damn thing if you run into the right crazy on the wrong day.
That’s crazy. Believable, still crazy. Just asking strangers for sex is fucking weird.
Everyone knows the only appropriate way to proposition strangers for sex is like this:

It’s a bad habit I picked up from my mom. I’ll never forget at a whataburger the dude at the window was rude and she turned and said “Suck my dick.” The guy opened the window and said “Excuse me?” And this woman turned and said “I said suck my dick!”
But I don’t blame her being mean, she had to be honestly.
Probably, but also half the time it’s someone saying “I wish I could you xyz, but these are better times” and me responding “bet” and most of the time it’s just a rick roll. But sometimes sometimes it’s furry guro or something or it’s goatse.
I don’t fully understand the technical side of things either, and I’m on his silly little list.

I love this particular mixture of people. So far this place feels way more authentic than whatever alternate universe big tech is trying to force-feed.
