The F150 is BIGGER?! And here I was thinking you must be a special kind of idiot to buy that kind of truck… turns out there’s an even specialer kind of idiot who buys an even bigger one…

LadyMeow@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 weeks agoThe ranger is just another truck made by ford, not really a European specific thing. We see them here in the US. It’s smaller than the F150.

Not saying it isn’t an interesting visual representation but Jesus fucking Christ some consistency in the children height/distance would make for way better comparison.
cojo5@sh.itjust.works 3 weeks ago
each child is the same height in each picture. the diagram shows how far they can be while still being invisible to the driver.

Don’t look up the f-450 - f650 line. 👀
Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 weeks ago
Why do that look so much like AI?
petrol_sniff_king@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 weeks ago
Because it is.
Look at the mangled weirdo on the left side. Is that supposed to be another truck?
marcos@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
The lighting is weird, and the car is twice as weird.
I think AI wouldn’t make an image like that even if you explicitly asked for it.
dejected_warp_core@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Good lord. At what point do we require a CDL to drive these things?
Commander_Keen@reddthat.com 3 weeks ago
They should be required for anything above a f250 imho. But TIL that a CDL wasn’t even a thing until 1992 👀.

When you jump from the F450 to the F550 I think…
redsand@infosec.pub 3 weeks ago
It competes with the Toyota Tacoma. Fairly reasonable trucks. Pretty much always for work
Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 3 weeks ago
Though the current Ranger is pretty close to the size of an F-150 from the 90s. Rangers used to be small like the S10 Chevy or Mazda B2200.
THE_GR8_MIKE@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Pretty close, but in the modern day it’s over a meter longer and like a foot wider. It’s noticeably bigger.
Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 3 weeks ago
I saw them side by side at Costco. The difference is negligible.
LadyMeow@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 weeks ago
That’s true! It’s insane how big American cars are and how they just get bigger.
