  If your friends bore you, you may need better friends

  And are you telling me you seriously have nothing interesting to say to a friend when you meet them? What do you do all day that you have nothing to discuss?

  What on earth do you even do with your friends? Play football? Drink and sit and go “yup”? Is this a thing I’m not “manly” enough to understand or what?

  Are you of an older generation that is embarassed to talk about feelings or private matters? Help me understand here

    What do you do all day that you have nothing to discuss?

    My tedious job. Then I get home and work out, make dinner and clean up, maybe have an hour or so to watch a show or game or something.

    What on earth do you even do with your friends? Play football? Drink and sit and go “yup”? Is this a thing I’m not “manly” enough to understand or what?

    We do other things beside football like darts, or bowling, or have a backyard fire, or boardgames, but for the most part… yea. If somebody’s working on an interesting project or is doing something cool we’ll talk about that.

    It’s not that we’re embarrassed, there’s just no point. It does nothing for us. 95% of the time all the mundane personal shit is the same as last time we saw them. If anything major comes up or someone is going through some shit, sure we’ll talk about it. but for the most part it’s not interesting.

    OP post wife asked about “kids, families, jobs.” There are plenty of families where there would be no news about those subjects. But furthermore, there are plenty of topics that were probably mentioned but then forgotten because they were mundane.

      My original comment was that men suck, because friendships with men are generaly like…I recently fell out with a group because they ate the sigma pill, and started to believe really dumb shit.
