I don’t know anyone who’s driven in Houston and not called it the worst. Some pleaces it feels like the drivers don’t care if they live or die. Houston they’re trying to kill you and themselves
Comment on Okay but like the light has been green for 0.3 seconds

I’ve driven in a lot of places in North America. Massachusetts isn’t bad. New York is worse, so is New Jersey. Around that area, the worst is Philly.

Idk how it compares to Houston, but I was teeeerrified to drive on the freeway for like 2 months when I first moved to Dallas. Also the sheer audacity of some of the traffic maneuvers was something to behold. For example, I would routinely see people turn left from the right-most lane, cutting across 3 or more lanes of traffic. I just cannot comprehend why you would choose to do that instead of just circling the block or turning into a business to turn around.

Bad drivers never miss their exit.

As someone from Houston, Dallas is the worst. Not just at driving; I didn’t even read your comment. Dallas is the worst.

They don’t have swangas in Dallas
redsand@infosec.pub 3 weeks ago
Oh yeah Houston is way worse. Google “car swangas” probably not what you think

No idea how those were ever legal

Having lived in both cities, they’re nothing compared to Midland/Odessa. Those mfs scared the shit out of me.

Houston is the absolute worst of anywhere I’ve been.

Rhode Island is pretty bad sometimes

Massachusetts is dense with the added bonus of comparatively old-world city designs. I’ve found NJ and NY drivers to be more vocal and annoyed, whereas Mass drivers will just risk wrecking you because you’re only going +20 above in the middle lane or stopped at the light that says no right on red

Massachusetts is fucking empty. Boston is dense.

If you remove the population of all of greater Boston, a rather generous 5 million, then Massachusetts is still the 10th most densely populated state, beating out California, and coming in just behind Ohio.
That greater Boston metropolitan area figure may or may mot also include population from neighboring Rhode Island and Vermont, not entirely sure on that
If you just take the population of Boston proper, 675k, out of the equation, then Massachusetts maintains its spot as 3rd most dense US state, doubling the density of New York
So conclusion: Massachusetts is dense af (relative to the US) even without Boston
