All he had to say was “we are working on it, in the meantime, use some frame gen, or bump your res down. Our bad”. But no, he had to be a dick about it.

What’s the goal of the tv? Budget?
Want the best quality picture? Want the highest refresh rate for gaming? Anything beyond just displaying a moving picture?

You know, when they mentioned 8k textures 10 years ago, I laughed because it was so overshooting gaming standards that it was laughable. Now I’m think they will be just on track when it actually launches.
- Comment on A little memorial at the local dump 1 week ago:
All I did on my NextDoor was post the quote from Kirk about being ok with gun deaths if it means 2a in response to someone asking for tots and prairies. The utter stupidity of what was said baffled me. I was called sleazy by one person, and a blue haired limp wristed boy from another (I almost asked if he meant to use the f slur but held my toungue). Only for using his own quote…

If you’re not spending more than 200 for your boots, probably not. The lowest price boot I know that is Goodyear welt (replaceable sole) is Thursday Boot Company. The big names are Redwing and Wolverine, and even some Wolverine aren’t meant to replace the sole.

So disease factories, also known as schools, will now be thermonuclear hot beds of disease. Cool.

You always were able to use a standard external drive. Yeah, the speed was slower, but you weren’t forced to buy the expansion card.
- Comment on Lush temporarily closes all UK stores in 'solidarity with Gaza' 2 weeks ago:
I mean…if they REALLY wanted to make a political statement (which LUSH has done in the states in the past) they would have EVERY Lush close. Just so odd they didn’t do it. I’m assuming Lush US is under some other kind of ownership?

- Comment on Is playing horror games a good way to get desensitized to fear, or it gonna backfire and make my anxiety worse? 3 weeks ago:
I have anxiety but love horror movies. I struggle to play horror games though. Just something about being more immersed in it can push me over the edge.
- Comment on What games have mastered "Both emotional extremes"? 3 weeks ago:
Spiritfarer
First, it feels like a cozy little game, awesome artwork, everything’s happy and chill. Then they hit you with the real game, helping people cross over after they died. Not so bad. Then the REAL real game is explained to you, and it is gut-wrenching. I didn’t just have a tear or 2, I full on ugly cried. Every emotion is utilized in that game.

It was so visceral in the book. I remember watching the movie thinking “oh its about to happen”, then it’s basically off camera.
- Comment on They'd just appear out of nowhere 5 weeks ago:
There actually is. I have looked into it before because I have a lot of floaters, but have never had surgery. The risk and downtime with the surgery is pretty high, so it’s usually not recommended.
- Comment on What's your thoughts on this? 5 weeks ago:
I think a fairer argument is to see how many people actually reduced their screen time. Then, see if that offset the run time of this ad. In that case, this sign doesn’t get a pass because we all know the answer to that question.
- Comment on What's your thoughts on this? 5 weeks ago:
Eh, I can give a pass to this because even if it wasn’t this ad, another one would be in its place burning the same amount of energy.

Some rental places will let you bypass the counter and go straight to your vehicle. I would check in early everytime if bypassing was an option. I once waited over 2 hours at a counter due to the line. I had booked prior, but couldn’t bypass the line regardless.
- Comment on Shit's getting real 1 month ago:
I’d assume that after years and years of absorbing rising prices, they just are finally at a point where they have to to stay afloat. I’m sure just the aluminum tariffs are a huge reason.
