- Comment on Explain it like I'm 5: Why is everyone on speakerphone in public? 1 week ago:
What irritates me most, people using speakerphone but holding it up right to their mouth. How fucking hard is it to just move your hand about 6 inches further and put the fucking thing next to your ear and use it like a normal fucking phone.

Clean as fuck bathrooms, pretty decent bbq, affordable snacks, jerky for days, cheapest ice you will find, they pay their employees a fair wage…
We are dumb, but not because of this.

Breezy puzzler with some minor platforming elements worth it for the quick play through.

I tried a natural mosquito repellent with this in it and was shocked at how effective it was. I’m a mosquito magnet and it worked just as well as the ones with deet.

If that’s true, why have they lost the lawsuits? Just because it’s “safer” doesn’t mean it’s still not toxic.
- Comment on noo not the cashier 5 weeks ago:
Some people like to track receipts for bookkeeping or needing a return. Knowing you actually got a receipt vs. the cashier assuming you don’t want it and throwing it away.

Talking “proper” calibers is the equivalent of what Linux distro is best. It comes down to how accurate and quickly can you shoot under pressure. By most standards a .22 is too light a round to stop someone, unless you can precisely hit the head and potentially multiple times. A 9mm is kind of gold standard starting point for self defence. Like someone mentioned, if you aren’t a great shot, or feel like under pressure you wouldn’t be accurate, grab a shotgun. Just racking one can stop some people from attacking.

I use passive but my wife uses active ones from Walker. Their passive isn’t quite as good, but plenty for range use in case the batteries die.

- Comment on What's with companies naming things "MyNoun"? 1 month ago:
What pisses me off the most about this is when I search for your app. It doesn’t start with your actual company name, I have to check alphabetical, see it’s not there. Go to install your app only to find I already had it, it’s just listed as MyInsertnamehere. Infuriating.
- Comment on How can we convince Trump voters to NOT vote for Trump (or Vance) in the 2026 midterms and the 2028 election? 1 month ago:
Just get more people voting. Study after study on US politics proves that if voting percentages were higher, the GOP would probably never be back in power.

The trick for everyone, use the cheapest shampoo you are comfortable using. Spend the time and money to find a good conditioner for your hair and scalp type. I need antidandruff shampoo and use a light leave in conditioner. You’d think it used $40 products from the salon.

I bought a dresser that actually came pre-stained in an orange color. We did a glass top on it to help protect it, and it looks new still to this day.

There’s a brewery I love that does a beer designed as a weed beer but no thc or even cbd. The hops they use are so skunky, you’d swear you were just drinking weed.

I understand the hate of Ikea’s cheap furniture. They also have plenty of solid wood furniture as well. Maybe not multigenerational quality, but they do have plenty of buy it for life versions that have survived several moves.
- Comment on Mom with the real questions 2 months ago:
I did this. The only thing I took from my grandparents when we had to sell was the dining table. Too many memories to let go, and it’s solid wood. Its a 4 seat table but expands to 6 if needed. Perfect size. Fuck those matching chairs though. Solid wood too, but my god, they are so bulky, heavy, ugly and uncomfortable. We went and got cheap, modern chairs instead, and it actually worked out really well.
My inlaws have a GIANT 10/12 person table with matching high back solid wood chairs that they beg for the family to take when they are gone. None of us will have space for it and will see it more than likely donated/dumped.

My one issue with Alters was if you make certain decisions with what to produce or work on, at certain points, I had to roll back pretty far to undo them to just survive upcoming events. Really cool game otherwise.

Even those variations have minimal or no overlap on store shelves. It’s still way fewer models to deal with regardless.
- Comment on PS5 ROM Keys Leaked: Sony’s Unpatchable Security Nightmare (2026) | The CyberSec Guru 2 months ago:
Coming from previous console hacks…
It generally does require a halfway decent techie background to hack a console (or anything, like jailbreaking a phone). At the very least, being able to follow guides exactly to the letter or risk bricking a device.
Generally speaking, hacking a console will not let you play online.
You generally don’t want to put a hacked console on the internet at all to keep it from being potentially flagged from the parent service like PSN
Now, this could all be different depending on the actual hack, but it’s what’s been true for previous ones.

Consoles have extremely limited variations, less variables to mess with. A ps5 is a ps5, but a Samsung Galaxy 25 isn’t the same as a Samsung Galaxy FE25
- Comment on How come laptops or pc's don't have a "webcam" facing both ways instead of just the user? 2 months ago:
There have been several laptops/tablet pcs that have done this. Microsoft Surface and its clones from HP, Dell, Lenovo etc. did this.
