- Comment on Developers Accuse Gunzilla Games of Not Paying Salaries For Months 3 days ago:
I say 2nd because there are legitimate mistakes that can happen. Software errors do happen and I’ve had a missed check, but the company had it resubmitted and in my bank 2 days later .

I’m sorry but getting no pay for months? I’d be out after the 2nd missed check and grab a lawyer.

I know this is shit post, but Take Shelter is a great movie.
- Comment on Is there any decent PvP FPS that's not infested with cheaters? Looking for a decent PvP FPS 1 week ago:
Overwatch would be the one I where I’ve encountered virtually no cheating, especially the last couple of years. I haven’t played The Finals in awhile, but I remember it being pretty clean of cheaters too.
- Comment on How do movie theaters work? Which seats in theaters are the best? (never done this before) Also is the IMAX thing actually any different? 2 weeks ago:
Hard disagree. There is no experience like seeing a movie filmed in 70mm, being shown with a 70mm projector in a theater designed to show it. Granted, there are only about 2 dozen theaters in the US that fit that exact description, but no eye strain, no neck craning. Even most of the “close enough” IMAX theaters I’ve been to are still really good experiences unless your in the front few rows.

- Comment on Switch 2 demand appears to be flagging as Nintendo reportedly lowers production 2 weeks ago:
I loved my Switch but wasn’t planning on getting a 2 due to cost of device and new games. I was gifted one for Xmas, and while I enjoy it, outside Mario Kart (that came with it) I haven’t found a new title made specifically for S2 that I wouldn’t buy for the other consoles or PC. I’m just playing some older catalog stuff, or games that I would prefer on the go. There’s no new Zelda, Mario, Splatoon, nothing 1st party to keep driving a console. It boggles my mind they didn’t have more 1st party lined up for the first year of launch
- Comment on Is school cafeteria food in America trash? 2 weeks ago:
It absolutely depends on where the funding comes from. I know someone who works student nutrition for a school district that doesn’t receive state funds, it’s all county school tax funded. They chose to contract out to a company that provides the food. Usually this is a recipe for disaster, but they actually provide high quality food. All fruit or vegetables are fresh, not frozen or canned. All food is prepared fresh daily, no microwaves. Their food is so good, every employee that she knows, eats the food too. This is in stark contrast to prison food level quality found in many districts.
- Comment on What's the weirdest argument you've gotten into with someone? 2 weeks ago:
I worked at Office Depot. I had a customer call in and ask how much the lawn mower tires cost. Told them he has the wrong store, we don’t sell them and then proceeded to hear him bitch me out about how I don’t want to do my job and help him.
- Comment on Explain it like I'm 5: Why is everyone on speakerphone in public? 4 weeks ago:
What irritates me most, people using speakerphone but holding it up right to their mouth. How fucking hard is it to just move your hand about 6 inches further and put the fucking thing next to your ear and use it like a normal fucking phone.

We are dumb, but not because of this.

- Comment on noo not the cashier 1 month ago:
Some people like to track receipts for bookkeeping or needing a return. Knowing you actually got a receipt vs. the cashier assuming you don’t want it and throwing it away.
- Comment on Hrmmm 1 month ago:
Talking “proper” calibers is the equivalent of what Linux distro is best. It comes down to how accurate and quickly can you shoot under pressure. By most standards a .22 is too light a round to stop someone, unless you can precisely hit the head and potentially multiple times. A 9mm is kind of gold standard starting point for self defence. Like someone mentioned, if you aren’t a great shot, or feel like under pressure you wouldn’t be accurate, grab a shotgun. Just racking one can stop some people from attacking.
- Comment on Hrmmm 1 month ago:
I use passive but my wife uses active ones from Walker. Their passive isn’t quite as good, but plenty for range use in case the batteries die.
