Someone needs to make a dating sim where the main mechanic is sending each other memes

yakko@feddit.uk 4 days agoSame, I never tried marrying anyone in a game. There’s literally no point. Invent a game where you can show characters the stupidest memes you’ve ever found, and they have a choice whether or not to ignore you. On that day, I will consider which one my character needs to marry.

An entire person would probably not exist today if I had that fifteen years ago 😶🌫️

I mean I did marry, just never Serana.
To be completely honest, the game was bugged on my old machine so I took 11 years to beat it, and then when it came time to do the DLCs I just sort of waded through it like a chore.

Actually there is a point to marrying in skyrim. You get the better xp boost effect for sleeping in your bed in the house that your partner is living in. And also if you marry Ysolda (and maybe others I don’t know, I’ve only ever married her) she actually opens a general shop in your house which is very useful for liquidating all the random loot from dungeons, and she gives you a cut of the profits.

For the exp thing, it hardly matters. It’s not like you need the exp in Skyrim. If you do, cheesing alchemy or smithing is a far easier source than this exp boost.
The shop thing is nice but, if you’re playing with mods, there are far better options.
