Okay, I am so over children right now. Was not aware we’d see 5yo Niece again until the chaos entered the front door.

Then going into the room partner and I are staying in, and touching everything. I already woke up on the wrong side of the bed, so I was quite short with telling her to leave.

I just want to go home.

My darling child always tries to embarrass me and it never works but she tries.

Her: So I was waiting on a package from Amazon and I checked the delivery and I noticed that you were also waiting on a package. OMG $22 LUBE. Girl, you can get that from coles for $6.

Me: But it’s German and I’m worth it.

Her: I’m just letting you know whatever you buy online I can see so don’t go buying sex toys ok.

Me: I prefer to buy those in store.

Her: Youse disgust me. (Walks off laughing)

Husband walks into the room carrying cups of coffee, wide eyed with a smile on his face.

The point is don’t be ashamed. Own it. Don’t go fucking with my stuff. And if it’s not you’re kid, it’s not your problem to explain. That’s the parents job.

  When I was probably your daughter’s age, I got myself a few ahem things online. My parents would go snooping in my transactions and saw it. I absolutely should’ve owned it. This is a family though who would not let me have partners in my room and see NSFW stuff as a very taboo thing and threatened to kick me out of the house if they ever found out I did anything.

    Yeah. I don’t go snooping. What my daughter does is her business. We do talk about stuff but it’s all about keeping safe.

children are a lot like cats, you cant reason with them but you can anticipate what they will do, they are also mildly teachable
