Pretty sure in all of Canada, or at least Ontario, everyone makes at least minimum wage. You go to Wendy’s or Boston Pizza, no one makes less than minimum. Why is it that I’m expected to tip at some but not others? Is a chip truck (where a tip is asked for) really different than McD?
My understanding is in the US, some people make $2 an hour and tips are expected. Then there’s places like Ontario where a tip is also expected. Genuinely, why?
All this “pay your workers” nonsense should be true for fast food, grocery store workers, and everyone else who makes minimum yet they’re not standing there with a tablet that “asks a few questions” every time you ask where the milk is.

My mom took my dads last name. My mom passed when I was a teen and I don’t get along with my dad so in my 20s I changed my last name to my mother’s maiden name.

I’d probably offer to trade seats with you if the person in front of me didn’t lay back. If not, I’d try to find a happy medium where I could lay back and you’d be okay. There’s no way I’m sitting up the entire flight.

That’s a V1, and has a low serial number.
There are “patched” V1s that the plastic things don’t work on, V2, OLED, and Lite. All of these need a chip to mod. You could hard mod yours too, if you wanted.
V1 and V2 are super easy to hard mod. The lite has a few more points to do than V1/V2, and the OLED is quit difficult but still possible.
I’ve hard modded quite a few V1/V2 and a handfull of the Lites.

I just wish that anyone without a job wasn’t at risk of losing the place they live. That’s my biggest fear in life. I was homeless for 2 weeks 10+ years ago… Never again.

Honestly, I’d love to help people or animals with my time. I’ve looked at jobs that would let me do this, we’d have to sell the house and I’d still not be spending that time with family… If I’m going to be unhappy about a job, I should just stay in tech so I can potentially work from home and afford the lifestyle we currently have.

As someone with a 5 month old, who has been laid off and unemployed for 6 months, I just want money. Rather, I need money. Soon bills will go unpaid so we can eat…
Point being, I’m going to hate any job I get because I’m just going to look forward to going home and being with family. This time with them, while super fucking stressful, has been amazing and I don’t want it to stop.
