It was always referred to as diesel by the hive. Couldn’t say no at £1 a pint. Heavy shit.

I’m a humble biologist by trade. It ain’t much, but it’s honest work.

Diesel is equal parts cider and beer with a dash of blackcurrant. Turbo diesel also contains a shot of vodka.

Minge tastes vaguely of copper. Guinness also tastes quite metallic.
Gamers drink a lot of energy drinks
Diabetics secrete sugars in fluids that wouldn’t normally contain sugar.
Unwashed because beer is fermented, just like my true loves lady bits.

I mean it probably tastes like eating out an unwashed diabetic gamer girl, but I’ve probably also had worse. I’ll give it a shot and report back in a couple of days.

Of course i have, and i would argue that bread and bunns are 2 seperate food categories.

I do not have the patience for sourdough. My favourite bread is probably something along the lines of chleb lwowski or the Finnish hard bread Ruisreikäleipä which is rye bread with caraway seeds. It’ll fuck up your gums, but it’s really tasty.
- Comment on ohhh 6 days ago:
The recipes I’ve seen all use egg, milk and sugar, so I’d argue that they’re closer to cake than bread. But it looks fucking tasty and I will be making them soon.

Mate, it doesn’t matter what form the bread takes. It’s the concept of bread which is divine.

I’m not saying other cultures don’t have bread, that’d be fucking r*****d. I’m saying that bread is not as integral a part of other cultures.
- Comment on ohhh 6 days ago:
Ok like Indians make a lot of bread, but it tends to be various types of flat bread. Don’t get me wrong I’ll demolish a peshwari naan in about 3.76 seconds but it’s not as versatile as a good crusty loaf.

I have found that Bread is a distinctly European obsession. My American partner just doesn’t get it, nor do my Asian and African friends.
It’s so satisfying to have a giant sandwich with meat veg and cheese or indeed just bread fresh from the oven dripping with butter. It’s the most versatile thing imaginable and it’s made from fucking grass!
Jesus Christ I fucking love bread!

It’s probably open later in Oslo or something but yes 7:30 to 16:30 where I live. They started reducing hours during the pandemic and then just didn’t expand them again and hoped no one would notice. It was at least open til 17:00 before that.

Academics in Norway don’t have it much better. University contracts are all time limited which makes getting a mortgage very difficult and rental accommodation is either ridiculously expensive or would be condemned in a real country. Norway’s one of those places where if you fit into the system, life is good. But if you don’t, it’s really hard.
Academics have a really hard time with it because society is designed around 2 parent families where both parent works a normal job with normal hours. If you have kids and your experiment needs to run until 17:00, you’re going to have to find someone to finish it for you because daycare, while affordable and means tested, closes at 16:30. If you need to rent, expect to pay about half your income for a shitty converted storage cellar in someone’s house. If you go on parental leave and it ends after your standard 2 year academic contract is up, you won’t have a job to go back to (the universities offer 2 year contracts because by Norwegian law anyone working the same job for 3 years has to be given a permanent contract so they rehire their staff every 2 years).

Depending on what anon does it’s possible. The flag is Portuguese you could pick up a one bedroom apartment for 3 years wages if you don’t live in Lisbon. Or in Lisbon if you have a good job.

Crawfish are literally called mud bugs in a lot of places. I think lobsters and langoustines should also be under the bug umbrella.

Correct. I used to study geology. I went through an 1/8 a day back then.
- Comment on If the left is all about inclusivity, why is it so full of purity policing? 3 weeks ago:
Purity policing? Is that a city thing? Kinda sounds a lot like mike Johnson to me. Cause I regard myself as left of centre, and purity is a dirty concept to me. That being said, I grew up in a place that is pretty egalitarian but has questionable phrases like “yer no a man til ya shagged a tran!”. Yay lady dick!

Although I did meet one gneis girl, but she got tired of my schist pretty quickly. I met her on a field trip to study glaciers she was honestly a bit erratic. Anyway, forgive the intrusion.
