Regenerative Agriculture / Permaculture
If you plan to lease out to a farmer, find one that won’t fill it with herbicides and pesticides. And maybe look to only lease part of it while you work to recover other parts.
I’m looking to buy land that needs to be recovered and have the budget that will likely lead me to a place like this that doesn’t have direct road access. Good luck!

As a manual driver living in Seattle and driving a large truck, I can say it’s totally unnecessary if you have the right skills. The handbrake start is a handicap unless you’re Dr ving a vehicle with a worn out clutch.

You can’t support some Nazi policies.

Like poorly trained dogs, they attack anything different.

Police harass minorities. If you live somewhere where you are not considered a minority, you’ll likely not have any issues at all. But if you travel to someplace where you are the minority or are obviously not normal looking, you should expect to be harassed by local law enforcement.

I don’t know why you’re downvoted.
OP, it’s your kid. It’s past time to figure out what they are into. I promise there is something that you can at least get a little into.
My kid likes banjo/mountain music. Not my thing but I enjoy seeing live shows with them because they enjoy it and I enjoy live shows.

On the same take, we used to get 15min breaks every 2 or 3 hours. Then the government wrote laws that said we had to get at least 10min breaks every 4 hours. So now we get less because you will only ever get the minimum.
We get less breaks and they have to be shorter than what the average was before.
I’m not against labor laws, but I’ve been working nearly four decades now and I’m still getting bent over every opportunity.

Sounds like you haven’t been in the American work force.
They can fire you for any reason. Or no reason. Nothing matters because if you’re a wage slave nobody cares.
Plus they probably made you sign a waiver to work there saying that you couldn’t ever sue them for any reason.

Same here. But it’s also the first year I didn’t get left behind out of convenience.
Tomorrow will be just another day for me, like all holidays are anymore. But at least I didn’t have to spend money and stress about making ungrateful people happy.

It’s not ‘is the glass half full or half empty’.
The question is ‘why is the glass?’
Once you know this, the first question is easy to answer.

I was uninvited from my sister’s wedding. But I was told it was at a public venue, so I could come watch the ceremony from a distance and I could still send a wedding gift.
I didn’t care about being uninvited. I was only upset that they made Dad call me. If you’re going to be like that at least have the balls to make the call yourself.

The best is when you’re sharing a regular story and someone else has to explain how fucked up it was.
Like I’m sorry, I thought that was normal and was sharing because I thought you could relate. No, I don’t need the contact info for your therapist.
- Comment on As the Canada "tax holiday" starts, Walmart increased the price of an item by the amount I would have saved 3 months ago:
Working behind the scenes with retail pricing (not Walmart) I can say this is 100% how it works.
Also have been given a sheet listing all of my department’s products that were below a specific profit margin. Told that we had a sale coming in 2 weeks so make sure to raise prices on those before then so that I didn’t have a drop in my overall department sales. If the customers noticed and asked, we were to inform them the ‘sale’ was to offset the price hike that just happened because we were looking out for them.

Vegetarian for over 20 years. Most of my chili is “leftovers chili”. It’s about the flavor more than the ingredients. I suppose it’s more of a chili flavored goulash technically.
Usually starting with black beans, chick peas, tomatoes, peppers and chili spices. Then whatever leftovers I don’t want to eat get chopped up and added. My favorite leftover is old French fries because they never reheat right anyway. Also a great way to use up produce that is going bad but not yet unsafe to eat.

- Comment on How can you make sure the ashes you get after a loved one dies is actually theirs? 5 months ago:
This is how it was done where I worked. If you asked for ashes, we just went and scooped out an appropriate amount of ash. Sometimes the animal was still just sitting in the burn pile (we only burned on certain days). Also the ‘cremation’ furnace was just a modified 50gal drum. So you had to cut up any of the larger dogs. Small animals (kittens or anything smaller than a regular sized cat) we just threw in the dumpster.
As you can imagine, that job sucked.
