  Wide angle lens distortion. The camera is probably a lot closer to the whole scene than it appears, and because of that, it’s closest to whether of in the middle foreground of the frame.

  I don’t disagree with the point of this post, but the image of the chainsaw in the article was completely incorrectly captioned.

  It is actually a photo of an electric powered (not electric start) 2 man chainsaw (not one man) that weights 48 kg (106 lb).

  So is the author not careful, or did a slop machine make it?

  Also I’ve never seen of an electric start chainsaw in person and there were only a couple models in the 70s that made it to consumers and had weird removable batteries.

  Eh, underestimating new England’s 4000 footers is how most people end up dying out there. The trees are way more dense, and all the same age because of re-forestation after the 1800s. So going off trail is a terrible idea.

  Also as was said before, the puny 6000ft Mount Washington wind speed is actually the highest recorded on earth (not inside a tornado anyway). But it’s just a symptom of how fast the weather changes and that is most often what kills people.

  Our dog is kinda gray, but his hair is banded black/white/black. So it shows up on anything.

  Unfortunately he sheds like 2 dogs so we’re ultimately in the same boat.

  Reusable grocery bags are the most embarrassing, so I end up cleaning them every week.

  I’m 6’3 and tall to most people, but fit under most doors just fine.

  Basement stairs can fuck right off though I’ve done that lotsa times and it managed to be a surprising painful thing every time.

  Also I think I’d laugh if someone said and if the short guy things to me, I get called things like string bean and “big guy” by bros who don’t know me.

  Most of New England is named that way too. The problem is that the same road ends up with 2 names depending on which direction or end you are in.

  As a designer who turned into a developer, had to do minor server stuff, manage my own freelance projects and debug it all…

  I quit and started working in old cars and handyman stuff. Not a Luddite, but fuck marketing, temporarily organizing pixels, and spying on users for pennies.

  The proof is sort of in the lifespan of the milk.

  I haven’t noticed it going bad sooner yet. It’s possible that other adulterants start showing up, but there are still lawyers that can sue companies if they find them fucking around.

  That said we need to kick the fucker who are enabling this shit, out of the government ASAP.
