Protip: leave some cheese near the crust and eat the crust lengthwise. Tada! You got cheesy bread.

Simple questions with known answers might be a way to weed out malicious/untrustworthy responders.

The Gemini logo next to the word “Experiment” makes me suspicious.

- Comment on JetBlue makes you watch an ad to connect to wifi 3 months ago:
If the ad is short and subsidizes free wifi, I ain’t mad. But if the ad is unreasonably long, or if I have to keep watching ads every x minutes to use WiFi, it becomes a problem. Not sure what the case is here, but it should be spelled out on the screen so we know what we’re getting ourselves into.

I confronted someone for littering and with a completely sincere face they said they’re creating jobs for the people cleaning the streets 💫 so does that mean murderers are creating jobs for homicide detectives?

One of my favorite quotes from Blood Meridian:
God dont lie. No, said the judge. He does not. And these are his words. He held up a chunk of rock. He speaks in stones and trees, the bones of things.
As an aside, it’s worth noting not every religion conflicts with science.

Straw man. Science doesn’t try to prove if God is real or fake.

You mean people getting offended because they misinterpret a friendly jab? Personally, I wish more people commented in a friendly manner. So many toxic comments out there 😬
- Comment on YouTube Shorts 7 months ago:
They are just commenting the same way they talk to their friends. People quote funny lines from movies right after watching or say stuff like, “Did you see that crazy stunt in the film?? He literally drove off a cliff!!” They get tons of upvotes too because people feel a connection by recounting and acknowledging what they collectively experienced. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

You’re right, many (most?) ancient civilizations knew the earth is round.
It’s not a big mental leap. Things disappear over the horizon. The sun and moon are round. Maybe the earth is round too 🤔
- Comment on Ramadan 11 months ago:
The earth isn’t flat, but Muslims “face” Mecca when praying from anywhere around the world. Same concept.
It’s also worth noting that most ancient people knew the earth was round, including early Muslims.
- Comment on Ramadan 11 months ago:
Such precision isn’t required by the religion, but it is an interesting problem. Facing Mecca for prayers from anywhere in the world and determining prayer timings were scientific problems that drove early Muslims make advancements in astronomy, cartography, etc.
