- Comment on Founder of Arkane Studios: "I think Gamepass is an unsustainable model that has been increasingly damaging the industry for a decade"; impacts sales 6 days ago:
What’s “short” about the short-sightedness, though? I’ve been a Game Pass subscriber for something like 8 years and it’s still crushing it as far as services go - probably moreso now than any year prior.
Will it last / remain a good deal forever? Nope. But nothing does/is. Might as well enjoy the great variety of games I’d never purchase (like Blue Prince, Arcade Paradise, Shipbreaker, South of Midnight, Expedition 33, etc.) along with the convenience of access to games I totally would pay for (like THPS 1+2, Gears, Diablo, etc.). Plus the built-in rewards subsidize like 1/4 of the cost.
When (not “if”, when) they jack up the price to a point that’s not worth the games or I don’t have enough time to play to justify the spend, I’ll just cancel.

Alternatively, when you get hungry in the evening, just have “go to sleep” for dinner!

Microsoft doesn’t expect anyone to pay $80. They expect people to sub to Game Pass instead.

“Romanticism” of higher quality, too.

Really wish this were multi platform. I love the series but I’m not about to pay jacked-up PS5 console prices.

7.1 on IMDb, 80% RT (“certified fresh”)… this isn’t a shitty movie. Like, we all believe it’s actually good, and it needs no defending.

Do you have to run the keyboard’s software?
I have a Corsair K100 and it does all the normal keyboard stuff without any software even installed on my machine. Also, the RGB lighting can run from on-device memory, which is super nice.

What else is he gonna say, “We’ll be churning out some real turds”? He’s the dude in charge. Of course he’s going to hype it.

I mean, this is just Cassette Beasts, and it is indeed a damn good game.
- Comment on Gears of War: Reloaded announced, coming this summer to PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 2 months ago:
With cross-play across all platforms, you and your friends can squad up no matter where you play — no Microsoft account required.
However, signing in with a Microsoft account unlocks full cross-platform functionality. It enables cross-progression, so your Campaign and multiplayer progress carries across devices. It also allows you to send invites and play with friends across platforms — like Xbox to PlayStation or Steam to Xbox.
Honestly, this is the way to handle the incorporation of platform-specific accounts; totally optional, but actually gives you a sensible benefit if you choose to go that route. Sony could learn a lot here.

N++
Undoubtedly the best, most complete 2D platformer I’ve ever played. Super tight controls and incredible level design, coupled with an episode-long timer mechanic that you can influence makes this one absolutely unmatched. Sure, games like Celeste are flashier, but nothing is a better game than N++. I think I put something like 120 hours into this to get the platinum on PS4. I would happily start over and play the whole thing from scratch again.

Good movie, horrible timing.
- Comment on Universal will be releasing "DROP" on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on June 10. 2 months ago:
Theatrical release was April 11, 2025. Dunno why I would even bother paying $30+ to see movies like this at the theater when I can grab the UHD release for less $ just 60 days later.
Not that I’m complaining, as I love owning physical copies.

Holy shit. That is some high praise across those reviews.
Looking like this will be a mega win for Game Pass. Can’t wait to play it tomorrow.

Still gonna skip this and hope for a 3DS-like price drop around the holidays. I’m really hoping Nintendo misses their sales targets big time because fuck these prices.
- Comment on Nintendo Switch 2 hands-on reveals a proper generational upgrade, though its biggest new idea remains unproven 3 months ago:
So basically $450+ to play Nintendo IP games at a current-gen caliber level.
This pricing just sucks. Unless you’re a Mario Kart or DK fanboy, you’re probably better off with PS5 or XSX.

For real. EA spent north of $10M on streamer sponsorships for the Apex Legends launch and that was like 7 years ago.
