Wow. “These people have killed or attempted to kill everyone who came to their island. But maybe if I tell them about Jesus they’ll be friendly!”
- Comment on The Last Epoch: Runes of Power - Official Runemaster Trailer | gamescom 2023 1 year ago:
What an odd trailer for what this patch is. Going back to the Reddit post that kicked it off feels like something you do for a 1.0 release. And the rhykker clip is specifically referencing content that is not part of this patch.
It was completely irrelevant sound bites set over some video of a Runemaster running around casting some spells.

And even if it’s on their printed menu, you might look at the menu on Google Maps and see one place has a dish for $20 and another place had the same dish for $24. You go to the cheaper place and sit down and see the 18% fee. Are you necessarily going to leave and go to the other one?

Because I’m not a six sigma whatever belt and all those things you listed are things that are just common sense.

Not on Reddit or YouTube or anything else that serves ads from the same domain.

Windbound could be another fun one.

Yeah, that was my point.

This isn’t Reddit, there’s no account-wide tracking of special Internet points to worry about.
- Comment on Why does “come here” bother me so much? 1 year ago:
So I’m your husband and my wife is you. I can tell you the reason I do it is that it can be difficult for me to necessarily formulate exactly what I want to say about what I want to show you. I want to share whatever experience it is, but trying to explain exactly why stresses me out.
On the flip side my wife will just tell me what she saw after the fact and I’m left there thinking “…why didn’t you tell me to come look.”

Even in that scenario, it’s not like the first one goes away. Now you have two reusable bags.

It’s been major for me with RVing. I guess I could have used a gaming laptop but given the limited “table” space in an RV the handheld formfactor is a major advantage. That plus the minimal power requirements - I don’t need to factor it in to our off-grid time at all, while a 200W gaming laptop would definitely be noticable.
I also just prefer it for home. Sitting on the couch, in bed, whatever. I find it comfortable to play on.

To be honest it goes beyond that. The steam input customization is major. Like the fact that I can take a mouse and keyboard action RPG and assign the left stick to move around just like it had controller support.

The steam deck controls are honestly too important for me to consider anything else. The fact that I can play mouse and keyboard games with no issues is huge.

Well that’s a shame. I guess living in a car-centric region it’s easy for me to just throw them in the trunk so I always have them, but I could imagine if I was taking public transit more often it would be easier to forget them.

I’m not talking about that far North.

A reusable plastic bag only needs to be reused ~40 times before it is better than single use plastic bags. Are people really using them so few times that they can’t hit that?

Also are we going to talk about the fact that I’ve never heard anyone outside of the south pronounce pecan as “pee-can?”
- Comment on Sweet tea 1 year ago:
They’re not super saturating it. They’re putting an amount of sugar in the tea that can dissolve at room temperature, it just takes a long time to do so.
- Comment on Sweet tea 1 year ago:
I lost 70 pounds over about four months last year primarily via calorie counting. I know it’s anecdotal, but I absolutely felt hungrier after the same meal if I had a diet soda with it compared to an unsweetened iced tea, or even an iced tea with a sugar packet or two. It’s great that you have the willpower to stick to the rest of your diet regardless, but there is definitely a reason people recommend cutting it out to make it easier to follow a plan.
- Comment on Sweet tea 1 year ago:
Sweet tea can have as much sugar as soda. You would need to add 10-15 sugar packets to a single glass of iced tea to have the equivalent amount of sugar.
- Comment on Does this instance have a stance on right wing disinformation communities? 1 year ago:
I’m new here so I don’t have much of a vote, but I have mixed feelings here. I like the idea of not blocking content, but at the same time I think a Vaccines community that is dedicated to spreading misinformation is not something healthy to have.
