This is an example of it going poorly but advertisers to an extent do it on purpose. Kool-aid gets used to refer to powdered drink mixes like band-aid is used to refer to adhesive bandages and, in some regions, coke is used to refer to soda in general. The idea is to become so associated with the concept as to overshadow the competition.

I’m pretty sure significant portions of the medium and hard difficulties could be flip-flopped and most of Australia’s population doesn’t live in the PvE warzone you’re probably picturing in your head.

Magpies are the friendliest birds for people but I almost feel bad about it because they’re dicks to other birds.

I feel like second poster has the right idea because beyond his point most of these little ‘rules of thumb’ have a list of exceptions bigger than my apartment.

Even if this is an edited pic I’m going to pretend it’s not because that’s the most midwestern hearse concept I’ve seen.

And also it’s like 200°, gloves wrapped in foil, and constant checking. At least for waxing gloves for ski resort employees.

A gas station in a mining town I visited had little statues carved out of coal.

Honestly the intricate description you’ve presumably included for the benefit of the blind and others who would use a screen reader rather than looking at the image itself comes across as more unhinged.

IIRC the original image was from a Mormon “science” fair and the sign was something about proving the existence of God.

Can’t imagine that rope company gets many repeat customers with that kind of marketing.

Are people actually tricked enough by ai gens that they ask where they came from? Because so much of that stands out like a sore thumb to me that it actually scares me to wonder who’s falling for it.

Why did you circle one entry on a sign that consists almost entirely of jokes? Also Mann Co is definitely the best one on there, because you know they’re proud of what they’re doing.

I mean, I’m pretty sure we’ve got enough research down at this point to make non-lethal dog food without testing to make sure, probably still a good idea to make sure Rex still wants a bowl before slapping it on the shelf, but I think we’re past the point of trying to market the Purina One Arsenic, Chocolate, and Grapes brand of kibble.

The term is tin foil but they aren’t made out of tin anymore and are pretty thin so it’s more accurate the way you put it.

The leg sweep will never not be: A. an incredibly effective tactic against humans in general and B. fucking hilarious from an outside perspective, like oh you wanna fight? How about you do that from the fucking ground.

That was Edison and Tesla, Franklin was long dead by then. Also it was pretty one sided, Tesla wasn’t the one doing stage shows out of killing circus elephants.

I wonder if the IR sensor of a sidewinder could get a lock on the hearing element of a hot air balloon.
