First off, I appreciate the response.
Yes, I understand that if these people could have it their way, any kind of mature content would be completely illegal. The reason I don’t feel strongly about this is strictly because this isn’t a legal threat, and I don’t think it has that capacity to become one. Lobbying is expensive, and I don’t believe that an Australian organization has the capacity to seriously affect global/western culture more than this. Quite frankly, its impressive they were able to pull this much off, and I fully expect ts to blow over in 3 years tops.
Don’t get me wrong- its not that I don’t care about censorship, its that I don’t really view this as censorship because the consumption and purchasing of the “censored” product is still completely possible. Contrarily, if this were signed into law I would have a big fucking problem with it.
With regards to the “companies they choose to use” point I made, I was in fact referring to payment processors, hence why I proposed crypto, cash and giftcards; as in purchasing a steam giftcard with cash from a store. Obviously I don’t expect people to not have credit cards, but the anonymity and security cash provides is almost never used because people find it less convenient.
The reason I brought this up is because I have seen it proposed that this issue will expand beyond the scope of digital marketplaces, which I find downright laughable. People WILL stop using visa cards if you can’t use it to buy condoms and there’s an ATM in the gas station.
I firmly believe that if this issue is pressed further, at the very least Valve will js stop accepting payment directly through payment processors.

Yo I’m NGL I’m usually really passionate when I feel my rights are infringed but I do not feel like my rights are being infringed. This isn’t the same thing as requiring ID to view NSFW content; this issue is not a legal one; and It’s not even like porn is js inacessible now, most of it is found on Patreon, which is both unaffected and literally accepts cryptocurrency. I will admit im suprised to see itch.io take action cos it has a reputation as a porn service, but who tf consumes porn on steam? I do not believe “what they define as NSFW will expand!” Or “next, games featuring a gay character will be banned!”, either. You are fucking bugging if you think Valve would let that happen. All they would need to do is lean heavier into steam giftcards, potentially selling them digitally, and start accepting crypto 'till the processors wanna play ball.
I don’t understand why people are bitching that the companies that they choose to use have so much power over their purchasing decisions. “First this, next sex toys! Then contraceptives!” Like Jesus fuck bro have you not heard of cash?

Nah man Minecraft with raytracing shaders is unironically some of the best visuals you can get. Definitely at the very least the best raytracing visuals out there (IMO)
Check out the SEUS PTGI shader + Stylista resource pack. It’s not even that hard to run; I get 60fps @ 1440p with a 6700xt

The game is lietarlly half cooked, and they clearly wanted to sell the other half piecemeal as DLC.
The game literally only has 3 eras. Every other civ game has 6.

- Comment on What really separates a PC from a server? Mainly the hardware, but I guess software too. 4 months ago:
I’d define a server as a computer that is primarily interacted with through other networked devices.
Hardware/software doesn’t have much to do with it; you can have a server do basically everything you’d need running on windows 11 if you’re a masochist.

You are grouping all indigenous people together by saying “denying the existence of issues they care about and talking over them” I emplore you, who is “they”? Are you implying that all native Americans hold the same beliefs? That they are the same people? I also never claimed to represent native Americans. I would never speak for a culture or peoples I don’t belong to.
- Comment on We all know it's true 1 year ago:
“Cultural apropration” is a nothing burger championed by people who often have no ties to the culture that they claim needs their protecting. A white man speaking for indigenous american culture does not give indigenous americans more of a voice, it takes their voice away by revoking their ability to speak for themselves.

The frying pan, mask and coin are definitely the best 3, in order. The frying pan is good for QOL, and if “while in use” is for an unlimited time, you could definitely start a business with it, as it would most likely make supernaturally good food. The mask just straight up effectively make your life longer because youd be concious for more of it. The average lifespan is 75 years in first world countries, so assuming 8hrs of sleep a day, most people will sleep for 8212 days in their lives (~22yrs) however, assuming you got the mask at 18, and only slept using it thereafter,by the time you are 75 you’d only have slept for 2470 days(~6.7yrs), meaning you are concious for 24905 days, which is almost the same as having lived to 115 with normal 8hr sleep. However, the coin is objectively best. The only real drawback to the coin is the 2 week wait period, which seems would be triggered regardless if you land a tails.that being said, a 50% to be capable of limited reality bending for 12 hours every 2 weeks is still super fucking good. You could just try to do something thats physically impossible and it should work anyways. The capabilities are actually almost limitless with it.
