Just so I understand.
In your example, let’s say we have a power supply that distributes 5v and 8.5v.
The extension board is easy, we just hook it up from 5v to 0v.
For the 3.3v chip, are we wiring it between 8.5v and 5v? So it only sees a 3.3v voltage difference?

It used to be fairly trivial to be excommunicated but so many people were doing it that they tightened the rules because it looked so bad for them.

I would very much like the Catholic church to say I am not Catholic, but despite vocally hating such an evil organisation that I do not believe a shred of, they still choose to count me as one of them.

Looking at the design of those wheels I feel like there was thought and probably iteration there. Those long thick hubs to provide durability and stability using a material not really suited to the use case. The whole thing was probably able to be made fairly quickly. Quite impressive really.
