- Comment on How are you feeling? 1 hour ago:
Been struggling with anxiety and OCD since around the holidays. Work got more toxic than it already was, so I started interviewing, which was stressful. I’m starting a new job Monday, and I have anxiety about it–imposter syndrome, I suppose. It’s essentially the same thing as I was doing, maybe with more responsibility, but a 50% pay increase. My biggest worry is I am going from no supervisor, making my own goals, and not working a strict 40 (less) to… who knows. It seems good, but I’m not sure if I’m ready for the level of effort, or the shock of going back to 40s.
It’s getting better as the date approaches, which is good, I just hope I can ride it out and settle into my new role. I’m starting Setraline today, at least.

Ugh, Spain is amazing. I dream of that country.

And then begins the real fun. The assassinations, the pipe bombings, etc. Americans won’t allow an invasion on Canada. Things will get incredibly ugly.

- Comment on Guys, what did you buy during the Steam autumn sale? 3 months ago:
Yeah, I’m a total Souls junkie. My favorite game ever was Bloodborne. I was on like NG+6 when I stopped playing it. That said, I never expect any game to come anywhere close to a Fromsoft Soulslike. There’s a reason they’re all called Soulslike, IMO; they can imitate, they can’t be a Souls game.
I bought it mainly because all my friends won’t stop giving me shit for not playing Fallen Order, and it does look interesting.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderland, Age of Mythology: Retold, Northgard, and Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order.

Some people don’t dream of, or need, labor. I know I don’t. I have enough hobbies to keep me entertained forever.

I’m really not sure about that. I would say a lot of us didn’t show up, which is damning. I wouldn’t say a lot of us voted for Trump. The data doesn’t back that.

Oh, that’s great. Good for you, Squid. My girlfriend and I were looking there or Spain. It’d be a nightmare to move, though.

Where are you moving to? I’ve been looking, as well.

For sure! I would rather have a burn than a burn with plastic/rubber in it, though.

Gloves and hot oil do not mix well. Good way to get gloves melted to your hand.

English names tend do just get characters that sound phonetically like their English pronunciation. As such, a lot of names, especially longer ones, don’t mean anything. If you directly translated them, a lot of the time you’d get like “cabbage the horse wheel” or something.
- Comment on Anon sells girl scout cookies 5 months ago:
There are two manufacturers of Girl Scout cookies in the US. They’re roughly a West and East manufacturer. Their cookies taste subtly different–unless you have sensory integration disorder like my sister and have tasted the difference her whole life and then deep dived into it in her early 20s and felt very vindicated when she found out there were two distributors and no she wasn’t crazy that whole time and just tasted that almost impossible to detect difference.
