- Comment on Why does it seem most people, mainly conservatives, against Trans people? Unless I am wrong I never heard of one shooting up a school church or whatever. The ones I have met have been pretty cool. 4 weeks ago:
Projection is also a common way for people to deflect blame for societal ills. Religious zealots will ignore and even shield sexual abusers present in their own institutions and divert that animosity to outside groups that make convenient targets. They are ok with the abusers within their walls because they are seeking absolution through religious systems. They are not ok with queer people because they need to scapegoat a group to explain why things don’t seem to be getting better.

Part of the reason I got a brother LaserJet instead of an Epson eco tank was because I don’t need to worry about toner drying out. As much as I try to avoid it, I still need to print once in a blue moon and it’s not really “efficient” to drive to the library.

I feel this is the most environmentally friendly thing to do in my experience because it was the only thing that stopped me from being spammed by Comcast, former house owners, etc. it’s amazing how quick businesses will stop sending you junk mail when you start sending it back.

I would rather people don’t use it at all if you don’t mind and I gladly censor myself when it comes to other slurs. I can’t convey the mental anguish and self hatred that I’ve suffered all because of an immutable characteristic of my sexuality. You can treat it lightly because you haven’t gone through that suffering. It’s one thing for someone to make fun of you for kicks. It’s quite another for entire groups of people to hate you because of what you are.

- Comment on What does going to a mental institution do for you? 1 year ago:
In the same way that physical therapy provides you with an environment, tools, and professionals that help you physically heal, therapy helps you with your emotions and thoughts. Therapists may offer advice but the main purpose of therapy is to give you a safe place where you can work through your emotions which can then lead to a better outlook on life.
Often times the reason why we get stuck in a rut due to a bad job, money issues, relationship issues, is because we haven’t taken care of our mental health and poor mental health will exacerbate those issues. If you are doing therapy while all that is going on, it will help you get in a better head space where you can start taking care of those issues or at least mitigate the trauma that they cause.

- Comment on there is Indeed a problem 1 year ago:
My hubby went in for an interview and was told he got the job so he told his other prospective employers that he was no longer interested. Before he could arrange a start date, they ghosted him. He tried to call but it went to an outsourced helpdesk that told him they would create a ticket and he would get a call back. No call after several days. He physically went into the place and the hiring manager seemed flustered that he was there and told him they would contact him. After two weeks from when he was told he would get the job, he finally got a hold of the guy he interviewed with and was told they gave the position to someone else because he was “unreachable”.
Problems like this are the reason why I don’t hold loyalty to any company unless they’ve proven their competency. The ones that are good rarely hire because the employees don’t want to leave.
- Comment on why isn't the use of the bidet more widespread? 1 year ago:
I’ve had a bidet for a while now and here has been my experience:
- I have a cold water bidet which used to annoy me a bit but I soon got to the point where I don’t even notice or care. At any rate, there are warm water bidets but you will need to run a hot water line off of your sink likely.
- You get water on your ass which to me feels cleaner than an ass which hasn’t been washed at all. Using paper in public places now makes me wish bidets were more widely used because TP alone doesn’t leave me feeling clean anymore. I suppose you would get water everywhere if you were squatting instead of sitting.
- You can let it air dry but even if you don’t, it takes a lot less TP than wiping without it. We go through less than half of the TP that we used to before getting the bidet.
- TP is convenient but not cheap. You can get a quality home bidet for $20-$30 which will save you a good amount of money in the long run since you won’t be going through nearly as much TP.
I used to think bidets were weird until I started using one on a regular basis. Now I can’t live without it.
- Comment on How is former president of the US Donald Trump still free when a lot of the accomplices in things he has been indicted for are already in jail and or prison except him? 1 year ago:
You would think. The reasoning is that you don’t want presidents being afraid of political opponents going after them for decisions they making while they’re president. Not that I agree with that logic. Trump needs to be made an example of.

- Comment on Well...that was anticlimactic 1 year ago:
Someone with government connections is claiming things that he can’t back up with evidence. Nobody cares because “the government” didn’t confirm shit. Even the guy making the claim said he couldn’t talk about it because it’s classified.
- Comment on Well...that was anticlimactic 1 year ago:
~the government just confirmed aliens are real~ another hack job with government connections is claiming that he was told by government official that alien “biologics” and space craft were recovered by the government without being able to provide evidence or details because it is “classified”

- Comment on Capitalism indoctrination in progress. 1 year ago:
I think this way because it’s how many of my employers think. I would love to have a job where I could be this honest and it’s something I’m working on but most employers think this way and so too does my current employer. Even so, this is the highest paying job I’ve had so far. It’s easy for you to say that behind a keyboard not knowing my situation, it’s much harder for me to have a frank conversation with my manager in a deep red state. I’ve been fired before and rejected during the interview process for being too honest.

- Comment on Capitalism indoctrination in progress. 1 year ago:
This is the reason why but never the reason I give. If I make employers think at any time that I focus too much on the money, they will see me as a troublemaker. Instead, I come up with some bullshit excuse such as medical reasons and the smart employers will work it out on their own.
