On the other hand, I’m glad these are the issues we’re combatting against, instead of a corrupt bipartisan government.

You don’t have to believe it - everyone still knows you are. Time to wake up to reality.

You can’t claim shit about equality for all and access without materials, when discussing byod. Make up your mind.
Everyone has access, byod is covered for 99% as extra convenience.
You aren’t being treated poorly, instead, you have unreasonable expectations. You need to adjust those. You are not a victim, nor were you rights violated.
You tried to circumvent security when the computer room was closed.
The librarians education most likely doesn’t cover anything more than turning things off and on, he/she isn’t likely to understand what you were doing, and the equipment isn’t maintained by the librarians - it’s simply located there.

Everyone has access, phone or not, just not when the PC room sometimes is closed due reasons.
You don’t have 24/7 access rights as far as I’m aware.

That’s true if the guy didn’t know. But the girl ended up in jail and that’s poetic regardless of the substance.

I think it’s karmic justice either way

The math has been done multiple times. The batteries don’t pay themselves back, and also need to be replaced from time to time.

I had the same issue with Google Workspace. Could not terminate my subscription until I “deleted all apps”, and apps list was empty. My pre-cancelled tier did not have customer support privileges.
I had to cancel my credit card and have been getting warnings about being sued if I don’t add a working payment card.

They aren’t doing it to be kind to anyone, it’s a business after all

They decide what they do offer to publishers for game pass rights. If they increase the fee, it’s because they started to pay more for whatever offered to us.
- Comment on And now Bezos is trying to inserts ads everywhere 7 months ago:
Only selected few games had that on PS2. Games were largely SP on top of that.
Never owned PS3 so no comment on that.
BUT, my original question is still applicable. The past you speak of wasn’t common and not something that’s agreed to be the “good old days” so to speak.
Not saying what you peddle wouldn’t be great, it would, but your statement simply isn’t accurate.

No I don’t. Gold was there pretty much from the get go. Without would be better, but what you asked I don’t recall existing.

I really don’t get much use out of reviews and traolers. The only way for me to know if I like a game is to try it. I test tons of Gamepass games and finish half a dozen a year, give or take.
- Comment on Microsoft will sell Activision Blizzard streaming rights to Ubisoft 8 months ago:
Don’t kid yourself: data centers are easier to have closer to many locations, but ones with hardware that works for cloud gaming, less so. And even in a best case scenario, it’s still too big a delay to comfortably play anything apart from casual games.
Even streaming a game from your PC to living room box, such as Nvidia Shield, even wired, makes it nigh impossible to play racing games well, or anything that requires aiming. It’s not far, almost playable when streaming in LAN, but any WAN in the mix and it’s just not feasible.
Networking has a long way to go before streamed reactive games are even close.

As for the backup portion, mega has offered free 50GB for ages. I just use that for now. As for other data, I think I’ll just buy a NAS and self-host.
It’s a bit of a shift, there’s no real good alternative, so Google’s long hook and bait is turning into even worse money pump.

This is downright funny. Best way to lose your market share, simply put. I’ve used Googles family of products for around 13 years.
First they ruin Photos, then Google Workspace (12€/month drive price to almost 100€), and now the browser.
Soon it’s back to gmail and everything else non-google. And I suppose that’s a good thing.
