Unfortunately FromSoft missed this memo and only has Xbox/MKB glyphs native. Since Elden Ring uses anti-cheat I can’t even mod the ps5 glyphs in without losing online functionality :(

While we’re at it can we also have both sets of controller glyphs available on PC for games that released on Xbox and Playstation? My ps5 controller works fine but I still see “press Y to interact” in game

Semmelweis was also kind of an asshole and would camp out by hospital sinks and yell at staffers for not washing their hands. He had the right idea, but he also had a shit personality which definitely contributed to the “everyone hated him” thing.

Spot on, and supported by psyche studies. They may not be consciously thinking about the lashes, but they definitely notice.

It’s this (the service charge) or they raise prices across the menu. Some people prefer this, some people prefer the added cost baked in.
Personally I think the service charge is a little deceptive because you are hit with an unexpected expense at the end of your meal. Even if they’re very up front about the charge most people won’t be automatically calculating the 18% extra on whatever they’re spending, they’re just going to look at the price on the menu.

On my work computer Teams is consistently the biggest memory hog even when I’m not in a meeting or actively using it.

- Comment on This concept for budget double decker airline seating 1 year ago:
The lady isn’t choosing to “have her feet up,” she is essentially sitting on the floor and forced into the L shape by the rigid structure around her. There’s still incredibly little range of motion just like a regular seat, except now with the added danger of a much more difficult emergency evacuation, especially for people with limited mobility.

Sure he kills a few sexed up teens, but have you ever noticed how often he kills people after they poop? It’s like at least 2 in every movie, and they never have time to wipe!

- Comment on Bosses and workers still can’t agree on whether the commute is part of the work day, and it’s creating a $578 billion productivity problem 1 year ago:
I actually wouldn’t mind counting the commute towards my workday if we had reliable public transit with secure wifi around here. I could get set up, go through emails, square my head for the workday, etc. on the way in and wind down, answer emails, finish up small tasks on the way back. All while actually committing 8 hours a day to my employer rather than 8 plus commute time. Could allow more flexibility for folks living further away from their office as well.
I feel like the argument against is always going to be the same though. Work outside the office isn’t Real Work because Real Work can only happen in a cubicle under surveillance. It’s the same reason they don’t want us to work from home

To add on to this:
General advice for clothing longevity is to always wash cold and hang dry. Taking it a step further though you can make sure all of your zippers are closed prior to going into the laundry so they don’t catch or scratch your other garments in the jumble. Extra sensitive clothings like athletic wear, lace, and other delicate fabrics can be placed into mesh bags for added protection (just search for “mesh laundry bag” at your preferred home goods retailer to find some). You can also wash garments inside out to mitigate wear on the outside surface or designs.
I second the woolite dark recommendation, and add that you really don’t need to use much in each load. Modern detergents and washing machines are pretty powerful, so less is more in this case.
If you don’t like how your clothing is a little crunchy after hang-drying you can toss it in the dryer on the tumble setting (or whatever the NO HEAT setting is called on yours) for 10-20 minutes and the garment will soften right up. This is generally more of a concern with natural fibers (cotton, wool, etc.) than synthetic (polyester, lycra, etc.).
If you don’t have time for all that drying, use the lowest possible heat setting on your dryer, and pull the clothes just before they are totally dry if you can. They don’t need to be damp, but even just letting them finish out the last 10% of drying in room temp can be beneficial as dryers end to over dry clothes which can also be harmful to the garment over time due to applying heat to a dry garment much longer than needed. Depending on your dryer the “delicates” setting may also help to mitigate some of this.

- Comment on How many calories does a standard whole blood donation burn? 1 year ago:
Considering a day’s worth of calories varies by person and that the general recommendation is 2,000 calories per day for an average, active adult I would question this idea
- Comment on How many calories does a standard whole blood donation burn? 1 year ago:
There is no good way to outpace calorie consumption with activity. It is far far easier for humans to consume usable calories than it is for us to spend them.
In our ancestors this meant that we were able to go a long time between good meals during times of scarcity and still survive, but today it just means that if you’re worried about calories you should start in the kitchen, not the gym
