some people (like you) can be repulsed by kids
I kinda hated kids till I had a few, now I like them. The majority of the kids Ive met (school friends of my kids) are some of the nicest, kindest people Ive ever known. People tend to get worse as they age, more jaded, cynical, mean, etc, so if you want to see human potential in its purest form, kids are your best bet.

Ok then, “Forrest Gump” is one of the most overrated movies in history. Honestly I hated everything about it and I never will understand peoples reverence for it. Shawshank is an infinitely better movie.

oldtrek is not viable for todays audiences, it was always a niche show but if it tried to go back to being niche, it would die immediately. You cant put the paste back in that tube sadly.

I think the real problem is Kevin Costner was trying to position himself as a ‘manly man’ in that movie and he just isn’t. His best roles were as Eliot Ness or Jim Garrison, not wet Mad Max

Ya this is the common argument we hear from the far right… but as always they omit the primary reason we reject their ‘non-conformist’ opinion, the actual reason its rejected is because usually doesnt line up with facts or reality. Those things are actually important.

Eh Im not so sure, all functions for anything open source or with an API are well documented, if it simply knows literally All the functions and knows how to put them together in a coherent way, then I highly doubt its ‘stealing’ anyones code.
Its like AI art, we told AI what a cat looks like by showing it thousands of picture of cats, so now it knows how to draw a cat based on that data. When you ask it to draw a cat its not just pulling one of its thousands of cat pics out and showing it it to you, thats not how it works.

In normal countries (not dumberikkka where the leading cause of death for almost all age groups of guns) the leading cause of death for young makles is motorcycles. ER workers call them donorcycles.

I’m a former vegan
The dangers of the vegan diet far outweigh any purported societal benefits. The best examples are people who essentially starve their children and pets to death (or near death) because they are so hell bent on promoting the vegan agenda.
Im fine with a reasonably informed adult making whatever choice they like for themselves, but leave kids and animals out of it.

Veganism is a morally correct
It may be morally virtuous, but we have no moral obligation to not eat meat. And most of the vegan talking points are either factual vacuous or flat out lying which is a bad sign for that movement.
(example 1: Feeding all the people on earth without meat would actually be impossible, we do not have anywhere near enough viable farmland for that to happen.)

Well if its any consolation, pedophilia is not a crime and never has been. Rape is the crime and always should be. Not all pedophiles are rapists, we need to prosecute actual rapists more instead of electing them president.

Well… there it something to be said for breaking new ground or being innovative in your field, both of those bands were are the forefront of massive pop music waves. It never hurts to be first at sometime.

We live in a society of tiny attention spans and instant gratification, kids are a multi decade commitment of time money and effort. In this environment, Im not surprised kids are seen as a burden.

People cant assess themselves for sleep issues, you are asleep, you cant tell whats happening. If you have central apnea you might be ‘waking’ 30 or 60 times per hour and never have a clue its happening. But the side effect is you never get to the recuperative level of sleep the body needs.
