Got in! It was a really silly mistake on my part; I was trying to log in with my username instead of my email 🙃 in my defense I was very sleepy haha
Thanks for the quick response as well ❤️

I’m really interested!!! Unfortunately I keep getting an ‘invalid credentials’ notification after clicking the link to verify. I’ve tried to reset the password but still can’t get in. I’m happy to send a donation, but want to make sure it’s linked to an account.
Do you have a character limit? I also can’t show the password while trying to log in to verify it was inserted correctly. I’ve tried both with and without special characters and am using iOS ‘suggest a password’ feature if that helps at all.
I’ll be trying again in the morning to see if goes through as I can totally understand there being a delay in verification.

I was attractions at DCA around that time frame as well! Got to do a track walk of Indy, previewed changed attractions, and got to do Tower of Terror no-show rides when I was closing.

I used to work at the parks and loved just hanging out. There’s a lot of work that went into forced perspective and theming. Disney has always leaned hard into escapism, and it’s easy to see why someone would want to be reminded of easier years.

Honestly disappointed with the combination of batch awards and probably the shortest acceptance speech timer I’ve seen. This game awards felt solely for producers and publishers, not for the people who actually made these games. I get not wanting another 8 min speech, but it left a bad taste in my mouth

A lot of people have brought up the point that money can buy safety and security. I just wanted to refence Maslow’s heirarchy of needs as that solidified my understanding some time ago.
Happiness is a constant struggle, and if your foundation is weak and crumbling the whole pyramid will suffer for it.

- Comment on Why the original, 1999 version of EverQuest is still one of the best MMOs to play today 6 months ago:
I actually jumped into the Imperium server recently and finally duo boxed. The real probably is that the down time that could be filled getting to know other players in your level range is slim.
I admit I’ve been having a lot of fun with New World following the first expansion. The artifact gear you can grind usually has a 6 minute timer (some are dungeon locked, and one spawn every 90 minutes according to server day/night schedule) and it’s made me nostalgic. The mob has nothing to do but chat, and it’s been really enjoyable so far.
That’s my ramble done, but anything EQ related gets me nostalgic.

It the ‘legitimate business’ catch. In this instance I’d imagine it’s a time based message based off of purchase. And as you said, highly likely from different departments that keep separate DNC lists

- Comment on Why do people say that "return to office" is about raising commercial real estate prices? 7 months ago:
I’m speaking from experience in CA;
Quite a few of these markets were moved on pre pandemic. Now it’s a question of how to offload. My prior company had a very nice multi story building in SoCal before they tried calling back. That was before covid, even then they had trouble securing a purchaser or renter. The market has only gotten worse.
There’s some sunk-cost fallacy; where you’ve already paid for the space, if you make the whole team drive 1hr+ to meet it’ll have been worth it.
- Comment on Why is cooking a food item method called different things by what the item is, or what is the criteria? 7 months ago:
Firstly, I appreciate you breaking it down! I knew they were different terms, but never really knew them outside of the standard ‘poached eggs’.
Secondly, soggy carrots can get bent. If it doesn’t crunch it’s not for me.

- Comment on Hulu Offering 30 Percent Discount on Live TV Streaming, Amid Disney and Spectrum Cable Dispute 8 months ago:
Sports streaming rights is a scam, and I’m so frustrated on my partners behalf. I’m not even the sport fan! Local blackouts and exlusivities mean shelling out for cable as streaming doesn’t cover his teams.
- Comment on How come I can’t see all comments in some (maybe all?) posts on Lemmy? 8 months ago:
I have the same issue with Memmy, but also Voyager (IOS). I had also read a week or so ago a comment insinuating it was a federation issue with Lemmy.world commemts. I noticed the one comment saying they could see em was a .world account.
