I always wonder why people get so upset by other people getting care they need.

That’s a wild read. It’s baffling how such an organism can evolve with such a particular way of living.
In true valentine’s day fashion it goes through the heart.
I’ll never go swimming in Africa or south America now.

You’d see the left wall in the reflection, if you wanted to show the opposite corner, like in that picture, the mirror needs to be arcoss facing the camera directly.

Elsevier is one of the biggest publisher of scientific magazines. Scientists are supposed to publish in those to be taken seriously as a scientist.
Most scientists publish for free, do peer reviewing for free, whilst Elsevier asks big bucks from every academic institution for the right to access those articles.
So OP thought it’s an apt comparison to most YouTubers making content for almost free as YouTube profits from publishing it. I kind of agree.

He was incredibly relaxed, which might have saved him. You see this with drunk drivers too.

My dad had a similar story. When he got recalled they had to shoot a bunch of nearly depleted ammo for 155 mm arty.
They sit in the field waiting for the command to fire. Guy that has the pull cord had been smoking some weed and was sitting behind the gun drumming.
One of his beats is with the hand in which he has the cord, it was slightly to strong. The gun fires and he gets the recoiling breech block in his face.
My dad jumps on him and keeps his tongue from sliding back in the guys throat. Shouts at the commanding officer to get a medic, finally the guy gets wheeled out by an ambulance. Nothing heard from the guy.
Years later, in a bar he hears some drumming he recognizes. It’s the same guy, he got small fracture at the base of his skull and got an army pension for life. Buys the beers for my dad the rest of the evening.

- Comment on Which movies are much darker when you rewatch them as an adult? 3 weeks ago:
Hook. In a way it still holds up, but todos Ruffios death his differently. I used to see him as the school bully who got mine of redeemed by sacrifice.
Now I just see a uncertain orphan, who does his best to lead a group and who is killed rather needlessly (and who is then kind of forgotten about soon after)
Also there’s a bit of lost innocence of my own faced with adulting life and the diminishing possibilities of fantasy.

I tried getting into the habit of sitting down and found that there’s a topological problem for me. See the angle of my dongle is thus that the stream hits the bowl in such a way that some of it escapes under the brim.
This doesn’t happen all of the time, but often enough to put me off the practice. As having to mop up after every fifth time is a bit annoying and feels less hygienic as having a little splatter.
