That’s a big role for her.

Annapurna claims they didn’t have enough time to collect developer contact information to alert them sooner
I mean, that’s just utter BS. In two weeks you couldn’t find a phone number or email address for your customers??
Sounds like a shit show of a company and the previous employees made the right move.

Either CEOs want something more focus grouped, or nepo babies behind the scenes need to add their own “flair” to it.

Uhh, what kinda dispute causes an entire staff to quit??
Can’t see any reason mentioned in the article other than a disagreement with the owner.
Just seems crazy that they’ve let such a successful team walk away, when it sounds like the team were willing to find a way forward…

That’s common in England, but a lot of larger shops don’t bother with that system.

- Comment on Term-time holiday fine rise won't stop us, say parents 3 weeks ago:
Fair enough imo, what’s a kid going to remember, 10 days of school where they spent most their time pissing about, or a family holiday.
I don’t know the ins and outs, but I think there should be a threshold of like 10 days a year where it’s okay, as long as the kid has good attendance besides that and it’s not around exam time.
It’s punching down from the government as it’s a working class issue. Middle class can afford the peak holiday rates, poorer families can’t.

- Comment on Remedy partner with Annapurna to co-finance Control 2 and explore Control and Alan Wake TV and film adaptations 4 weeks ago:
I love Remedy, I literally made a comment yesterday about how they’re the only game series that I’m really invested in story wise.
That being said, I don’t know if I want a TV show or movie…
I love the games and the way the story is told and interacted with, a show/movie feels like it would be a step back.
I’m playing Quantum Break at the moment and the whole “TV show” side of it doesn’t really add anything for me.

I liked the first, but think I’m gonna avoid this.
The joker cringe online has just gotten out of control, has completely ruined the character for me.
- Comment on Government should “urgently” legalise e-scooters says shared transport charity - says serious safety incidents are rare 5 weeks ago:
It’s ridiculous.
There’s one road near me and I usually count over 5 vehicles parked in the cycle lane when I go past.
idk how that can happen, I genuinely think the parking officers just ignore it these days.
They’d rather walk around the car parks checking vehicles than deal with actually troublesome parking.

Like it’s even stopping anyone at this point, see so many private ones out and about.
They are a nightmare on the roads (and pavement), government and councils desperately need to invest in some designated cycle/scooter paths.
And not these bullshit white lines that people park over and drive in constantly.
- Comment on Who Wants To Be A Lemming 1 month ago:
If people don’t watch, then there’s fundamentally no money to be given to the players. If you want money to be given to the player, you need to watch.
That’s how it works for women’s sports, and that’s how it works for men’s sports as well.
Pay for all athletes is dictated by the viewership they bring in, not their performance. WNBA players actually make disproportionately more relative to viewership.
You honestly talk like someone who’s never watched a sport in their life.
- Comment on Anon's gf is unfulfilled 1 month ago:
They don’t want a relationship, they want a never ending storyline. And if there’s no drama then they’ll make some.
- Comment on Who Wants To Be A Lemming 1 month ago:
tbf, Caitlin Clark is the only WNBA player that’s profitable.
People will bitch about how the men’s league gets paid so much, then proceed to not watch the women’s league…
If you want it to make money YOU need to support it 🫵

- Comment on Joaquin Phoenix’s sudden exit from film sparks ‘huge outrage’ in Hollywood 1 month ago:
I kinda get that. If they have no big name actor the movie is already dead, which is the unfortunate reality for a lot of movies these days.
Sounds like he was the guy pushing for the movie to be made in the first place as well, so maybe there’s no interest from other names to replace him.

lol, honestly respect him for not bending over backwards or giving a “political” response.
Sometimes you just need to tell people to fuck off and suck it up, especially when you’ve got nerds looking for a reason to be angry.

- Comment on Avatar 3 is officially titled "Avatar: Fire and Ash" 1 month ago:
The first two also succeeded because they’re hyped up as kinda “landmark” movies that you must see.
What helped with that was the long gaps in between films, but I really don’t think people are interested in seeing another Avatar film within 3 years of the last.
It just feels like “another movie” and nothing significant. I never even got around to watching the second tbh.
I don’t think I’ve ever met someone who would honestly say they actually like the Avatar films. They’re alright.
- Comment on I Worked For MrBeast, He's A Sociopath 1 month ago:
I keep thinking I should look into this MrBeast drama, then I remember I just do not give a single fuck.
I went through a h3h3 phase when I was like 20, then realised that any YT drama is just toxic and it’s best to avoid it entirely.

But they say they are chatting about video games and joking around, what more do you want?
It’s work tho, so it stays there. You have to get on with someone really well to want to see them all day at work and then after as well.

we think you’d be best with a bigger team with a better support network
Probably dodged a bullet anyway since there’s only 3 technicians and they’re putting a lot of responsibility for the shit payment they’re handing out.
That really seems to answer the question, and I don’t think you need to assume any discrimination from them.
They’re a small team, they need someone to come in and hit the ground running. They feel like you’d need training/support despite your technical knowledge.
Don’t get hung up on job rejections, just move onto the next. It’s a numbers game.
