Hmm, how about mindustry (its open source and free outside of steam)? It’s like factorio with tower defense. Note: after playing for few hours you might get access to many more stuff in game which might feel overwhelming

You want an actual solution to the problem instead of a fake solution that will generate other problems for those in power to take advantage of (like censoring, reducing privacy etc.)?? Wow… I’m with you

Wait, newpipe works for me (I’m from Greece if that matters). Running version 0.27.6
- Comment on This place is back online! 5 weeks ago:
Oi, thanks for all of your hard work Sal!
I was thinking, I’m just interacting with lemmy and when the server goes down I almost never expect it to not go up again. But it doesn’t run on magic, for the server to go back up online and work properly, you work a lot (depending on the severity of the issue) and like today it can get really stressfull:/ What I might take for granted, it really isn’t on your end.
So thanks again for making this place alive again, good luck learning more about the details of image storage (hopefully there might be people who can help on lemmy) and I also see that pictures work properly now, congratulations:))

Hm I see, I have sync to keep my history and bookmarks synced across devices (also helps easily share urls among devices)😅
- Comment on Why's everyone freaking out about Firefox Terms of Service? Isn't it Open Source? 2 months ago:
I think the rest have explained it better, but I use a Mozilla account and I kinda trusted them, not so much anymore. I dont know if I’m a minority, I found this feature very useful.
I will probably keep using firefox until it goes too bad for my taste and switch to a fork and self-host a sync server

Oh wow, I thought I had to use syncplay once I build my server, but thats handy

Though if you see what the poster generally posts (they tend to post very frequently), their memes almost always lean on misogyny when they involve a woman. Just do a quick view of their recent posts (like this one from 3 days ago).
I dont think they try to promote healthy relationships between men and women. I think their posts tend to be vaguely misogynistic, just enough vague so that they dont raise many eyebrows.
- Comment on Are some Lemmy instances down or is my phone broken? 2 months ago:
You could try opening lemmy.ml from your browser (not through your lemmy.ca account) to see if there’s an issue:)
- Comment on Are some Lemmy instances down or is my phone broken? 2 months ago:
Hm, just tried, it opens lemmy.ml too (btw, check if you accidentally blocked the instance😄)
- Comment on Are some Lemmy instances down or is my phone broken? 2 months ago:
I can open lemmy.world instance (I’m from mander.xyz) if that matters🤷
Probably a connection issue (or a lemmy.ca issue)

Yo this seems to be a bad take
I think something that defines humanity is that we really try not to follow the “rules of nature”, ie. the rule of the stronger over the weaker

Ayy, this is the way (and once you view enough you switch to hot and then to active, then you exit and return in ~40seconds and start over)

Ok that actually kinda works indeed, nice😄

Here is my attempt in a separate post:
I feel like though if you put too much site filters, results might be reduced in an unexpected way (like searching “X” thing on lemmy.world and lemmy.ml might produce fewer results than searching “X” on lemmy.world only)
- Comment on I need a flicker free LED lightbulb running in the 3000 K range. 3 months ago:
The lamps I got had a “flicker-free” mark on their packaging, so you might want to find some with that.
Another solution probanly is to go to a hardware store and try each 3000k lamp into the testing plug they have (they tend do have such). Open your phone, turn on the camera, get it close to the lamp and see if you can see any difference in flickering (the store lamps will probably flicker already, so just see if the tested lamp adds any extra flicker).

Nah, just run chkdsk with any flags you like, this should probably fix it.
- Comment on Where do people dance? 5 months ago:
While it might seem obvious, I know people who just dance on spot in public when they hear a song. They might not even hear a song, they might sing it instead. I also know people who like to dance in their room (as someone else here mentioned). They might not use the very complex moves though, I dont know if you ask specifically for these.
People probably use more “serious” moves in dance classes/events/clubs.
PS. I’m too shy to dance and I ~always admire people who do (especially when you see that they don’t do it forcefully, they just express themselves). I’m doing some dance classes to improve my situation, hopefully I might make it, or at least I’ll have tried🤷

It could be bots and such, but if you take into account that probably every comment or post (I dont exactly know how the plaform works) gets a self-like, it’s easy for this number to be high. The other person that replied to you, has around 110total likes just from comments/posts and it’s been around less than a month.
So, if the platform has self-likes, it could be possible🤔
