I recently learned of the shittiness that is Mill Creek with the Community blu ray collection. Same issue of 2 discs per spindle, quite annoying.
- Comment on Why is it when I watch a movie at home? It seems like I have to go deaf just this way. I can hear the audio of somebody speaking compared to the explosions and other special effect sounds? 2 days ago:
Link without unnecessary tracking bits www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYJtb2YXae8
- Comment on I'm OOTL: Why is TikTok being banned? 2 days ago:
Appealing to an out of touch, jingoistic voting base and cracking down on a social media platform where “the youths” are exposed to “woke commie socialist propaganda”. Also, yes it is owned by a Chinese company, ByteDance.
- Comment on I'm trying to use Microsoft Excel 2019 and have Outlook as the default email program. Excel won't open outlook and I can't figure out why. 3 days ago:
In the window for setting default apps, have you clicked the link at the bottom to set by protocol and verified that the MAILTO protocol is set to Outlook?

If I’m smelling or sensing things just before dawn, only one word comes to mind.
Regret.
- Comment on Help me out: which looks better for the Duck - the neck tie or the bow tie? 1 week ago:
Bow tie but it seems a little too high on the duck’s neck imo, should be moved down closer to the body a smidge
- Comment on What advice would you give to your younger self? 1 week ago:
“You’re doing all this for nothing” and then I’d just leave/vanish/whatever without any actual useful advice because I myself still don’t fucking know
- Comment on What administrative powers exist among workspaces in the software industry and why? 1 week ago:
assumed … would have basic computer literacy to know what is safe and permissible by company policy to execute and what is not.
People like that are often described as knowing “just enough to be dangerous” hence why they’re restricted the same as any other users.
- Comment on Did anyone here ever actually play the Mousetrap board game or use the cards in Operation? 1 week ago:
Yeah I had Mousetrap, and as others said it barely worked which sucked a lot of the fun out of it. Also don’t remember there being cards in Operation, was it just to determine which body part you’re supposed to remove or did they do something else?
- Comment on If you're not attracted to anyone "in your league", but you cannot choose who you are attracted to, then what are you supposed to do? 1 week ago:
Nah, I don’t think so. I could try, but…
it’s just easier not to try, so I don’t.
I’m too far gone. Absolute failure of a human being. I am the human incarnation of a softlock, technically functional but no progress can be made.
And in some aspects I’d rather not. Like, I’m just a boring and uncreative person. I read Lemmy, watch some Youtube and some TV, and that’s about all I want to do. I could never go along with the social actions needed to enter into or maintain a relationship.
- Comment on If you're not attracted to anyone "in your league", but you cannot choose who you are attracted to, then what are you supposed to do? 1 week ago:
Yeah I just know that there’s basically no overlap in the venn diagram of people I find attractive and people that would be interested in me, and it’s just easier not to try, so I don’t.
- Comment on What's the endgame when the rich have all the money? 2 weeks ago:
We move on to the triple digit millionaires, and maybe the double digit millionaires too.

- Comment on What are the current most common symptoms of Covid? I was told about two years ago that a fever is no longer even really a symptom. Yet when I look it up on the CDC website, it shows fever is a sympto 2 weeks ago:
I don’t think I had a fever either time I had COVID (Septembers 2023 and '24), though to be fair I also never took my temp at the time so it could’ve just been low enough to not really notice. The telltale sign for me each time was a sore throat.

“Oh, ehrm, well Dr. Weird, it was uh…”
“Haha, you fool, it was bad on purpose, and I’ll waste so many people’s time with it at the open mic next week. mwawhaha”
- Comment on Can being othered and isolated from society stunt growth? 3 weeks ago:
I think an argument could also be made that isolation might result in poorer nutrition than having a stable support system of friends, relatives, etc., which could then potentially stunt physical growth.
- Comment on Would "suggest price" be a positive option for steam? 4 weeks ago:
Buy the game, try it for 2 hours, don’t like it at its current price? Refund it. Pretty sure when you refund the game you can leave that feedback, dunno if devs would ever see it though.
