- Comment on No More Room in Hell 2 - Out Now in Early Access 1 month ago:
Whoof, it’s now moved to “Overwhelmingly Negative”
Reviews repeatedly mention that it is hilariously buggy, to the point where players are constantly running into visual and gameplay bugs. Also a few complaints about features being changed/removed from the first one to be more similar to popular FPS trends
- Comment on Day 50 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I’ve been playing until I forget to post Screenshots 3 months ago:
Played this years ago but couldn’t quite get into it. Maybe I should try it again to see if it clicks
- Comment on Are there any good casual/low-stress mobile games that aren't filled with microtransactions? 5 months ago:
Card Crawl/Card Thief/Miracle Merchant are good puzzle-like games
- Comment on Nightmare Kart Launch Trailer 6 months ago:
Boy this legally distinct gothic horror themed game that shares nothing in common with a popular Sony franchise sure looks like a fun time
- Comment on What are some eras of gaming that you've stopped feeling nostalgic for? 6 months ago:
Not so much as stopped feeling nostalgic for, but realizing that there weren’t as many great games available as I thought that haven’t had better successors or remakes. And for Nintendo consoles, non-Nintendo games that stand the test of time are difficult to find outside of a few franchises that usually have more modern versions on Switch.
We are just spoiled for choice these days when it comes to games, especially with indie games. And indies these days often have better UX than most mainstream games back then.
- Comment on This FromSoftware Dungeon Crawlers-inspired FPS Is Made With GZDoom 8 months ago:
Yeah sorry, I went with the auto generated title but probably should have done some editing on it for clarity. I think the game looks neat but it does feel like the site was trying to hit as many SEO words as possible

Haha yeah, I’m just getting to a point where I’m old and don’t want to make new accounts for things
- Comment on Jump Ship Plays Like a Mix of Sea of Thieves, Left 4 Dead, and FTL 8 months ago:
Sounds really cool, though still very light on details. I also hope it’s playable solo since it feels so hard to get a group of 4 people together as a working adult
- Comment on Xbox Slammed For AI-Generated Art Promoting Indie Games 11 months ago:
I don’t think it’s even good as inspiration, since it pretty much always just ends up looking fairly generic. Better to spend some time crawling the internet for more interesting and unique inspo
- Comment on So I tried Lethal company... and didn't like it. Does it get better eventually ? 11 months ago:
First and foremost, This is kind of a rant. I do not like horror games. I have never played any ‘strictly horror’ ones before. And yes I get scared easily.
Lethal Company is a horror game. Sure people find a lot of funny moments in it, but it’s still mainly just a horror game. If you don’t like the horror bits, the rest is just going to be boring for you. Don’t feel like you have to force yourself to like it just because everyone else does

Incredibly sad, Scott has always been such a positive icon and influence in the industry. Hope he manages through this.
- Comment on Indie gaming is on the verge of an immersive sim eruption 1 year ago:
It’s kind of a nebulous definition, but typically they’re games in which you have a variety of options and systems to complete objectives. So things like Deus Ex where you can stealth, fight or hack your way through the plot. Usually the games will have a robust amount of physics or interaction with various objects so there’s always a variety of things to do in a level.
- Comment on Indie gaming is on the verge of an immersive sim eruption 1 year ago:
It’s not a super descriptive term for sure, but I have no idea what it would be called otherwise. It’s similar to things like Metroidvanias or Soulslikes in that it’s a very specific niche without a clear delineation of what it is, but fans will know it when they see it

- Comment on Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft | Nintendo Direct 9.14.2023 1 year ago:
Oooh, I was too young for the originals so nice to see them bring them back. Also as a child of the 90s I love the classic campy badass Lara over the new younger realistic version.
- Comment on Noooooo you can't make a microtransactions free game and finished too 😭😭😭 1 year ago:
I mean, we didn’t have nearly as much social media back then and a 24/7 news cycle that causes random tweets to be blown up into IGN articles. I think the initial tweet was just a random thought that got spun way out of proportion
- Comment on Noooooo you can't make a microtransactions free game and finished too 😭😭😭 1 year ago:
The above post isn’t saying that Larian or other devs shouldn’t make games like BG3. It’s saying that we shouldn’t expect the massive amount of content and options in BG3 for every game
- Comment on What are some RPGs for someone who doesnt like most RPGs 1 year ago:
The World Ends With You (or the sequel, Neo: The World Ends With You) is an action RPG that does away with random encounters. Battles are initiated by you scanning for enemies and picking fights in your own, you can even lower your level or string multiple fights together for more rewards. The original is 2D (and best played in a DS/2DS/3DS but if you don’t have one there’s also a single-screen version on Switch) and the sequel is 3D on Switch and Steam.
