Only partially user-centric decisions because the @someRandomOEM.com and @redhat.com people will send drivers with no documentation to go with it due to NDAs. Also only partially user-centric decisions because if someone is backed by a company, their solution will be pushed faster.
People on free software adjacent forums (probably originated on linux {.} org {.} ru?) thought of a standard unit of measurement for how much pedantic force a person is able to apply. It is called “1 Poettering”, named after Lennart “Harry” Poettering. Values greater than 1 have not been observed; it is often assumed to be the highest constant similar to the speed of light. Here’s a table from (my very subjective) consensus:
- Lennart “Harry” Poettering - 1 (the system deez nuts guy)
- Mark “Shuttlecock” Shuttleworth - .9 (the Canonical guy)
- Hans Reiser - .7 (ReiserFS)
- Richard Stallman - .6 (GNU)
- Linus Torvalds - .5 (Linux)
- Theo De Raadt - .2 (OpenBSD)
Maintainers of random projects that everyone takes for given are <=.1 until they riot when it becomes .6 temporarily.

I am NOT claiming Teslas don’t suck, I am claiming Mark Rober sucks. The AI in the car could still perform shit if it wasn’t a content farm, those aren’t mutually exclusive. Though that one guy must not be wrong since he worked at NASA or something. Sounds like the guy who worked at Blizzard Entertainment for 7 years…
Turn your gold into piss
I know a guy who knows a guy who has a better offer.

Nah, send me a link. A link to Xitter. I can view it, don’t worry.
Also, I am not claiming this is a fake news media hoax smear campaign destined to make Tesla look bad. I am claiming it’s a staged content farm destined to generate ad revenue that got picked up by lazy journalists.

And you Musk fanboys
No Musk fanboy would claim “evil’s advocate” arguing for him and call him a dickhead. What’s with the black and white thinking?
every reporting journalist
The first few: alr, what repost bot is trending on Xitter… Yup, gonna turn this one into an entire ass article.
The next ones: alr, what are the other people writing about… Yup, would benefit from more coverage.whole unedited crash video
I require source.

Playing devil’s advocate by devil’s adversary.
Modern day Mark Rober is just kids content farming nowadays, trying to “compete with Mr. Beast”.
I saw that specific video. And I’ve also gotten driven around in a Tesla before. In the video, there was no autopilot icon in the interior footage for before getting hit. That’s it. It was just disengaged. If it turned itself off, it would be yelling to take over with a blue “glow” effect over the dashboard.

Meh, even if taken literally from the king james translation, doesn’t matter much since it’s old testament.

I bet someone would try to argue the catgirl is illegal somehow. I don’t know how. But oh, they will.

Yup.
I basically can’t use the image if you include it. Can’t stop from you including it though.
In the complete hypothetical where it would be allowed, I would hypothetically put it right where I have now put the fake hexbear sync ban. And in that hypothetical combined with the hypothetical where I would have still used that spot for something, I would have probably put it in the space right in between the -5000 and the public domain nuclear explosion.

Or, hear me out, ride a bicycle. It’s spelled b-i-c-y-c-l-e.
If you need to cross some car-only borders, well shit then. Best I can think of is get one of those ewaste grocery store phones with the plan included, sign up for drive share, get over the border, give the phone to a homeless man.

I didn’t mean “in relation to the Chinese government” when I mentioned “Chinese surveillance”, I meant “surveillance of Chinese origin”. If you check ad and tracking blocklists, by far most popular ones are either in the US or China. For me that’s equally as bad.
There are more than just 5 eyes.
I am going to refrain from arguing, for I have taken note of your instance being “lemmy.ml”. As much as I hate discriminating by instance, I have to do what I have to do.
