My friend is considering selling his PS5 to me for about $500 with games, provided I take his offer before FF7 Part 3 comes out. I already have my Steam Deck and Switch 2 (AKA Paperweight 2) to keep me occupied. Plus, not having a job makes any big budget purchase tenuous at best.
Games like Wolverine and Laufey, and Astro Bot are making me keep his offer in the back of my mind for now, but only if they stay exclusive.

If you’re not too worried about getting a Switch 2, you could get a new or mint Switch OLED, hack that, overclock it and load up a shit ton of emulators on it.

Frankly, I’d recommend just buying a Mint condition Steam Deck from Swappa or eBay. And I’d recommend doing it soon BEFORE these sellers catch on to the price increase.

Same, and I too bought the LED and OLED. I sold my LED for $420 (with the new 1 TB SSD from the OLED I bought, added back grips and the original dock) to my friend cause he wanted to get one for his brother.

I’d recommend trying either Sonic Adventure on PC with the BetterSADX mod, or try Sonic Robo Blast 2. Both allow for much better physics and control in 3D than any official Sonic game ever could.

Have you tried the BetterSADX mod on PC? It’s freakin’ incredible! Makes SA1 even better. Hell, I tried SA2 with mods and I still bounced off it.

I guess raising the price of accessories didn’t bring in enough dough. After all, if the base console price is still too expensive, and the games are being priced upwards of $80 dollars, who the fuck would want to spend more on accessories?
I say this as someone who bought the Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle at launch. Aside from Legends Z-A, Kirby Air Riders and Forgotten Land + Star Crossed Worlds, I haven’t put much time into other games on the system. I’ve been playing my Steam Deck more often. I’m thankful I got the Switch 2 at it’s “lowest price”. I’ve also decided to buy physical games because I can at least resell the games for credit towards another.
I’m able to play any game I want on my Deck, and I find it’s openness as a console-PC hybrid MUCH more appealing than the Switch 2. PC ports of Nintendo games are on the rise and I can’t wait for more!

BetterSADX revamps SADX into a masterpiece. So much so that SADX is now one of my favorite Sonic games because if it.
Sonic SMS Remake series is such a fantastic Mania-like retooling of the Sonic Master System games.
PC Ports like Link’s Awakening DX HD, Tails Adventure, SpaghettiKart (Mario Kart 64), Banjo Remastered, Bomberman 64, ShipOfHarkinian for both Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask, Star Fox 64 PC Port, Mario 64 Render96, Animal Crossing, Mystical Ninja Goemon, etc. GAH, SO MANY AWESOME FUCKING PC PORTS, AND SO MANY MORE IN THE PIPELINE.
Fan games like Super Mario and the Rainbow Stars, Sonic Dimensions, etc. are so cool!
