  Italians have a tendency to hate/compare themselve to the French.

  For example: Italy scores very badly in some rankings. The first thing an Italian would do is to check if France is higher or lower than Italy. If it’s lower, they’d say “at least we beat the french”. If it’s higher they’d say “damn we even scored worse than France… terrible”.

  But I don’t think people actually hate france or the french. it’s more like a meme I think!

  I was under the impression that roombas and cats had a symbiotic relationship in which cats nap on top of the roombas (happiness goes up) and the roombas simultaneously recharge (they use the cat’s gravitational field)

  Unfortunately my PM will say “let’s meet and see if X joins otherwise we end earlier”. Which means wasting a lot of time. Because X won’t join, the PM will start talking about irrelevant stuff, and if we’re lucky we waste 15 minutes, or more.

  I just hate this PM.

  What you say is reasonable and is also how I would have handled it. But in this project I have no power and the PM is…just not very good at it.

  I know a guy like that. It’s infuriating because it’s a waste of time. Just decline for fucks sake! At least I can tell the PM that we tried unsuccessfully to schedule and that we have to delay and I can play some video games!
