I had got it solely for Twilight Princess but that game was a huge letdown for me too.

Gamecube.
The other consoles were pushing for more, but instead the Gamecube only cared about being small?
I was fresh off Nintendo 64 so I was expecting Banjo-threeie, other awesome Rare games, a new Mario, the new Zelda, and finally a Pokemon game on a modern console!
Hahaha
Mario Sunshine was such a bad game that had none of Mario 64’s soul I never touched another Mario game after that. I hated the art of Zelda Windwaker and that it had lost all the dark vibes, and obviously none of the other games I was expecting never happened. I felt completely scammed for being loyal to Nintendo. I taught me to never be loyal to a brand.
The one and only game I enjoyed on that system was Metroid Prime, but as a child I was only allowed one new console like every 5 years and I deeply regretted not getting a PS2 instead like my friends.

Overwatch ranks in the top 15 and that still wasn’t good enough for Blizzard to not chase out all their good devs because the numbers weren’t as high as they promised their shareholders.

Nintendo isn’t doing much better. I was a Nintendo stan for most my youth but now they’re the leaders in stagnant games and dark patterns. You just can’t trust corporations not to backstab you anymore. Indie and opensource only for me here on.
- Comment on Steam Hardware [new Steam Controller, Steam Machine, and VR headset Steam Frame, coming in 2026] 5 months ago:
I was one of the haters when it first launched because I was on dialup at the time and physical discs I bought were forcing me to install steam AND THEN install a massive patch that did not work on dialup. My first day playthrough of Skyrim was ruined because of that. Took a week for that shit to download even though I went physically to a store.
But now Steam is the last man standing between us and corporate greed.

I use a quest 2 headset through my desktop via desktop streamer for VRchat. Would this all work on linux? it’s already a pain on windows.
