No, it isn’t.
The woman on the left has planned on being seen that way.
The woman on the right hasn’t.Same way you have no issue when someone sees you sitting in front of your computer at the office.
But if someone suddenly barged into your room at 2am, you’d feel it as a violation of your privacy.
Even if you may be doing and wearing the exact same things. - Comment on Is it possible to cool my body enough to not sweat while exercising? 2 days ago:
Put a fan in front of you and wear as little as possible.
And temperature regulation is something that gets better and more efficient with exercise, too.
Especially as you’re losing weight. - Comment on Correlation equals causation 2 days ago:

As a Brit, you’ll boil water for tea all day anyway.
Just put the potatoes in the kettle to save energy. - Comment on I would also be confused 2 days ago:

Ask her regularly if something is bothering her, or if there’s something you can do to make her day better.
Also, reflect on if there’s something you do that makes it hard for her to tell you her issues with you (body language, sighing, removing yourself, getting defensive…)
Maybe she just finds it hard to bother others with her problems, asking directly makes it easier.
And maybe you’re unconsciously communicating to her that she should leave you alone with her problems.
Anyway, the goal is to show her you’re by her side, tackling problems as a team. Not opposite her. - Comment on I would also be confused 2 days ago:

I dare say potatoes are cheaper than bread.
And you can turn them into a more filling, more nutricious and better-tasting meal with nothing but salt and vegetable oil. - Comment on Do people eat this? 3 days ago:
The middle bread will be saturated in fat, crispy, and spiced heavily.
The outer breads are dry, fluffy and neutral-tasting.
You need them for the same reason you need them in any sandwich. - Comment on Before social media/internet/cell phones/landlines/payphones; how would 2 friends living across the same city arrange in person meetings and stay in touch? 3 days ago:
In summer, the local playground, the basketball courts, the lake, or our secret place in the woods where we hid our porn magazines and fought our airsoft battles.
In winter, the video game store where you could play for free to “try them out”, another friend’s place, or my dad’s garage where we tried to build a bungee strap crossbow that shot Bic lighters. - Comment on Do people eat this? 3 days ago:

That was still universal when I was a teenager in the 90s in Germany.
My best friend would just come over, ask if I’m home, and leave again or go look for me in the common places if I wasn’t.
It was awesome, and the loss of that world is something that still hurts. - Comment on Before social media/internet/cell phones/landlines/payphones; how would 2 friends living across the same city arrange in person meetings and stay in touch? 3 days ago:
They were certainly around before most people had a telephone.
My mother grew up in a household without a telephone. In a big city. She was born in 1951. - Comment on Before social media/internet/cell phones/landlines/payphones; how would 2 friends living across the same city arrange in person meetings and stay in touch? 3 days ago:
Before landlines, you’d write them a letter to arrange a meeting.
The mail was delivered up to 4 times a day depending on where you lived.
And since only one family member (generally the father) had to work to support the family, there was almost always someone home.
So another option would be to simply visit them unannounced at a time you knew they’d be there.
Also, you’d know this person from somewhere. Somewhere you met.
Either at work, or at a club, or a union meeting, or a pub. You get the idea.
So you’d see them regularly in person, cause otherwise you wouldn’t get to know them in the first place. - Comment on there i fixed it 3 days ago:

- Comment on Currency 3 days ago:
Yeah, but a Big Mac today isn’t the same it used to be, either.
They still use 1/10 pound patties, but they weigh them uncooked, and meat today has more water in it that’s lost during cooking. - Comment on Currency 3 days ago:
Since McDonalds doesn’t keep a Big Mac in a vault for every coin they issue, but rather make one whenever a coin is spent, it’s the exact same principle as other currency. And like other currency, its value derives from everyone’s trust in McDonalds’ ability to keep making Big Macs in the future.
- Comment on What would happen if a person proved in a lab they're gaining weight while in a verified calorie deficit? 4 days ago:
Absolutely nothing.
No sane scientist would try (or get funding for) an experiment involving just one person over a long time frame.
It goes against thermodynamics, so it would be a ridiculous attempt to disprove centuries of established science with a sample size of 1.
So whoever does it is outside of the scientific community, no paper would publish their results, and everyone would simply assume they’ve smuggled food in somehow. - Comment on With what's happening in Gaza, what can we as socialists (and non-socialists) do to fix Gaza? 6 days ago:

It’s always in relation to a frame of reference.
Compared to earth, you’re standing still, so your time passes at the same rate as earth time.
Compared to Sagittarius A, you’re moving through space, so your time passes slower than that of Sagittarius A. - Comment on Thanks 🙏🏻 6 days ago:
Look I don’t know how it works either. But drag a dry squeegee across a couch full of cat hair with some pressure, it’ll pull all of it out and make it look good as new.

You can do the same with any two wires to test if they’re live.
Depending on the voltage, either you’ll know, or the people around you will.
