Yeah that’s a common issue I’ve seen with Gemini and ChatGPT as well. They can do simple tasks but as soon as it’s something that requires more than a 5-6 steps, or if there are complications along the way they will get lost. Also ChatGPT will commonly just make up commands if it doesn’t actually know how to do something.

I remember someone on Reddit gifting me 0.25BTC and I never redeemed it once I saw I had to create an account and a wallet. Just couldn’t be bothered. That would be enough to pay off my house today.

Pretty sure you got that backwards, bud. Everytime there’s a problem the sysadmins can’t solve they immediately blame it on the network. Then we gotta dig out our sysadmin hats and fix it for them.

As a network admin, the sysadmins are a bunch of fucking monkeys.

So, the usable memory is 6GB
Most Linux distros recommend (not minimum) 4GB of RAM on their system requirements pages. I’m running Debian on a laptop with 4GB and it’s perfectly usable. You might want to try a different distro if it’s struggling with 6GB.

I think Microsoft put the recycle logo on theirs because Apple used the “Trash bin” moniker and Microsoft wanted to appear more green or whatever.

My excuse these days is… I already built the damned thing. If there’s a game I want to play I can just upgrade it for (in most cases) less than the cost of a console + game to play the new game I want. PC gaming offers a lot of flexibility in that way.

I work for local government and we were recently ordered to return to office because leadership was concerned we would look “lazy” to the public if we were allowed to work from home… I don’t work directly with the public in any shape or form. On top of that I’m geographically located about 1.5 hours from the rest of my team so I report to a different office than they do, so we still meet on Teams.

Yeah, in theory it’s great but every time I try it people just cut in front of me then slam in brakes causing me to have to brake then adjust then repeat ad nauseam. People suck.
