I like how they claimed Fahrenheit made sense by relating it to a scale between 0 and 100 because a grade divided into 100 pieces (centigrade) is a system that is easy to handle. If only there was a unit of measurement that was already like that.

The problem is if you eliminate the lower class you also destroy the upper ones. Wait that’s not a problem. Never mind.
- Comment on At this point, what should we do about the ICE raids? If an ICE agent breaks in without a warrant or holds you at gunpoint, what do you do? 2 weeks ago:
Full Nazi takeover and not enough resistance although the ICE agent shooting Renee Good in the head three times has gotten some people to react.

Sure, just a little bit of fascism will be fine.

The Conservatives wanted to enthusiastically gargle Trump’s balls and move us closer to fascism.
I agree with the rest of your comment but this sentence stood out.
The Conservatives want to move us closer to Trump, but the Liberals are still moving us closer to fascism. Look at bills C-2 and C-12, which bring our border and immigration policies much more in line with the US.

There will be no stopping the US
Not from the outside. That’s why the American people need to do it.

Rarity is a huge factor for stuff like that. If everyone keeps theirs pristine because they know it’ll be worth something it won’t be rare and it’ll be worthless. Collectibles that are worth the most are things that people didn’t value as much at first and used them normally. They got worn and broken and discarded so it’s very rare to find one in good condition.
People keep Beanie Babies and Funko pops in boxes so they’ll never be worth anything because there are so many good quality ones.
- Comment on If God (or any creator of the universe) exists would he be made out of atoms? 3 weeks ago:
It was never meant to be called the god particle.
The Higgs boson is popularly known as the “the God Particle”. The name originated from Nobel Prize-winning physicist Leon Lederman’s book on the particle which he titled the “Goddamn Particle” – owing to frustration over how difficult it was to detect.

Yes this legislation would kill all the smaller sites on the internet, and that’s exactly the point. They wouldn’t be able to support the overhead for it so they’d all have to host on the big players.
It would kill the internet as we know it.

This is ableist prejudice.
Most disabled people would gladly give up their painful, crippling, or life-threatening illness in exchange for whatever pitiful allowance the government gives them to scrape by on.
