That’s so stupid - it’s just a game.
- Comment on Luigi Mangione sacrificed his freedom for Nothing. 3 weeks ago:
90 million people don’t vote. We don’t demand jack shit.
- Comment on Luigi Mangione sacrificed his freedom for Nothing. 3 weeks ago:
Probably doesn’t help that Luigi supports the political side that is expressly against increasing healthcare coverage.
- Comment on I could quit AI anytime I want to 3 weeks ago:
If it were banned, would it matter if you “willing” to give it up? Dumbass question.
And yes, I could my job easily.

“it’s like Bush never left”
What’s that based on?
And saying he’s “not as bad as Trump” is a ludicrous understatement.
- Comment on We hate him no matter who he represents. 1 month ago:
Probably on the fat drug.
- Comment on We hate him no matter who he represents. 1 month ago:
Of course we would. But also, this joke of a person would’ve never won as a Democrat. He chose Republicans because he knew he’d have a better shot with them.

Do you have those movies saved on your local machine? Or are you accessing them on a remote server?
People here are supposed to tech literate, goddamn. I’m barely tech literate and I understand the difference between downloading and installing a program on your local machine and accessing streaming video on remote servers.
- Comment on End of an era? 2 months ago:
They just remove the right to access it.
They can’t do that, it’s impossible. You are not logging into their server to play the game. You are downloaded and installing in on your local machine.
This is NOT like Netflix. How can people be so ignorant about this? Do you not really know how this works? For Netflix, you stream from their servers. That IS NOT what is happening here.
- Comment on End of an era? 2 months ago:
Think about it this way, if you get connected to an AI chatbot instead of a real person, does it feel like the company is giving you their time? Or does it feel like they are giving you nothing?
Compared to insufferable automated phone systems, which have existed for decades and employ exactly no one, they are a vast improvement.
- Comment on End of an era? 2 months ago:
the theft of intellectual property and art to train AI models
Any proof that that actually happened?
- Comment on End of an era? 2 months ago:
You do own it, you own the digital copy. The developer can’t hack your computer and remove it or prevent you from playing it.
- Comment on #StopPayingGames 2 months ago:
Could not be more obvious you have no counterargument, this is flat out fucking pathetic.
- Comment on #StopPayingGames 2 months ago:
It is something a corporate shill would bring up.
This is such a pathetic, thoughtless dismissal of an argument.
- Comment on #StopPayingGames 2 months ago:
It’s a convenient form of protest that just happens to get you stuff for free.
I’m not better than pirates, I am one at times. I don’t pretend like I’m doing something moral. I, like everyone else, do it so I can enjoy the content while saving the money for other things.
- Comment on #StopPayingGames 2 months ago:
Living in some fantasy land where never paying artists for their work magically results in them being compensated is pointless.
If you want to pirate, go ahead. I have. I don’t pretend it’s the “moral” thing to do.
- Comment on #StopPayingGames 2 months ago:
People wouldn’t make movies or games if they didn’t get money for it.
What you seem to be after is called “slavery”.
- Comment on #StopPayingGames 2 months ago:
The game is downloaded and installed on your machine.
- Comment on 2 months ago:
Do you think you don’t own a digital copy of every piece of downloaded digital media?
- Comment on 2 months ago:
You own the games you downloaded, they’re on your machine.
- Comment on 2 months ago:
The game costs $100, the “lite” bullshit is just a poor deception.
But the code leads to a download, right? Which is you owning it, just like all other digital media you’ve downloaded.

Creating an exaggerated argument to argue against, one that no one made, does not nothing but display your emotional immaturity.

Yeah, encourage people to disengage from the system entirely - it’s not like that’s exactly what Republicans you to do or anything.
- Comment on Come on, I left Napster running and my mom got Choco Tacos. 7 months ago:
not know how horrible things are, because I know things in the 90s and 00s were horrid too, I was just too young to notice.
That’s nostalgia for you. When we were kids, our parents had fond memories of their early days. In 30 years, kids today will pine for these times. It’s how that works. It’s not universal, but more for most people, they remember fondly the time they were younger, healthier, had less responsibility and their whole lives ahead of them.
