I mean I loved that twitter dude that shopped people’s requests intentionally wrong with incredible skill. There it was obvious given the context, and what they shopped was incredibly funny given the requests.
- Comment on Why do you care if a photo is AI or not? 6 days ago:
If the photo is real, someone doing this is ridiculous, the effort is commendable and the comparison to a normal person is so stark that it’s funny. If the photo isn’t real, no one did this, there’s no comparison to the normal person because there’s no one actually doing it, and I feel robbed of that funny feeling I should feel if it were real. Thus, learning that some funny picture isn’t real infuriates me.

If they don’t use it as a noun it doesn’t work, that’s why. “Other women” cows aren’t women, they are cows or bulls. Female cows, implied, but also the you can’t say “other”, we aren’t cows. If they want to equate women and cows they kiiiinda need to use the bad term I guess? Regardless of your feelings with what they are saying.

There’s something similar in Spain called Olivada, which is pureed olives with oil and some spices, like a hummus but with olives. It’s great.

Haha, but you didn’t understand the question and I’m curious. Is it the olive oil the thing you dislike?
- Comment on How my parents look at me when I say I dont like a food that I've openly disliked for years: 1 week ago:
Wym with olive pesto? The only olive product pesto has is oil. It’s basically nuts, herbs, cheese and oil.
You don’t like olive oil? I wouldn’t have made the link that not liking olives -> not liking olive oil, the flavour profiles is very different.

Agreed. I was being cheeky on the “losing their life” -> losers, same way someone that dives would be a diver lol.
Admittedly, everyone is losing their life all the time lol so we are all losers.
I guess you didn’t get the ;P being a 😋
- Comment on I will kill you 1 week ago:
You missed that I was being cheeky I think, but anyway. Both things can be true at the same time, idk what’s the point you are making but it isn’t disproving my cheeky dumb sentence at all. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

If they are losing their lives by smoking, aren’t they losers by definition? ;P

That’s such an entitled shit to say, holy shit check your privilege. What if it’s one of the only things I could afford? What if it’s my parents house? Come on.

Pardon my Spanish but how do you call that in German? I know english has no word for “stuff between normal breads”, that’s not a sandwich. In Spain we call it “bocata”. Do you have a distinct word to differentiate from a sandwitch?

I’d be furious if I knew of this after booking. Not knowing that there will be an animal before paying should be grounds for suing.

Tell that to all the non US specific named communities created on LW, that are actually US specific according to rules.
Politics, news... All those communities are actually US specific, while having a nonUS name and being hosted on Europe. It irritates me.

I'm not the same person of the original comment. For you to personally insult me while not bothering to read the name of the user says a lot about you too though.
I hope you have a great day.

I really don't get why a senior ex-military has better benefits than a normal senior. One is a benefit everyone applies and another is a benefit that a specific subset applies, and it's not like they do things that are more important than those that work everyday in the country to keep it running.
A kid spends 5 years in military, lifetime discounts. A teacher spends 5 years teaching, lifetime debt. I really don't get the point.

- Comment on Third of UK teenagers who vape will go on to start smoking, research shows 9 months ago:
But how are the numbers of current vapers+smokers vs old smokers? Maybe 30% of capers is comparable to old 100% of smokers since vaping is more accepted. This is an incomplete headline. Maybe the article has more hard data.
We are also ignoring the bunch of vapers that will keep vaping the rest of their life, throwing chemicals and water into your lungs is not a good thing, I bet we are gonna see long term issues of excessive vapour exposure in lungs in some years.

Will no one think of the dudes into butch girls?!? /jk

Sure, but they don't know, people lie. If we put in a balance your feeling being hurt vs them being murdered and/or raped, I'd say that unfortunately it's better for now for you to feel bad.

Wait wait they are guesstimating how much would Scott have had to earn from the movement via his volunteer work, and pose that Labor as a donation????? They are a joke. I'm sure they know what volunteer means, with the amount of volunteer overtime that strongly suggest (or else) their workers to do.

The miscaracterization of the movement by all the companies and groups of companies is no mistake, it's intentional to push their agenda that they are the reasonable ones and to take it down.
