  I was wondering if this post was headed in the direction that a user program typically does nothing most of the time, since it does its work and then is paused by kernel or it voluntarily gives execution away to wait for a trap or interrupt. Or it could be waiting for disk access which is like a millennia in terms of CPU time.

  Lot of mixed feelings from this video. Author doesn’t seem to know you can also do the exact same thing with any other HikVision camera too. I was pulling month-old feeds back in July from generic cameras. Definitely seems like a configuration issue. Given the sheer amount of these (there’s a lot in my area), why could the author only find 60 feeds? Also none of these are responding to HTTP requests anymore as I have tried all links from his shodan query.

  the sad thing is that you can’t really avoid these things irl by not using them. It’s ubiquitous and you will always be indirectly impacted by them in a non-marginal way. Even if you have a phone with you during the day you’re affected since you don’t experience boredom like a normal person does.

  show up early, so you only have to be around 1-2 people for an hour or so. Volunteer to drive shotgun to help pickup the wings. Arrive with maybe an hour left, then eat the wings and celery sticks in silence in the back. Talk to a few people, mostly just listening. Then leave at 10:15 sharp because you have work early tomorrow.
