Oh right, didnt answer the question in my other post.
Little Missfortune is probably the top of my list of short but great games.
Cthulu Saves the World and even shorter, Cthulu Saves Christmas if you want some bite sized JRPG goodness. Breath of Death VII from the same dev is also short.
Im also a sucker for Hidden Object Adventure gsmes which all take 2-4 hours. Artifex Mundi was my favorite dev for those until 2020 when they pivoted to a mobile dev.
Donut County was really addicting and I wish it was longer or had an endless mode so I could keep playing it.
I like the Dread X collection, which was something like 10 small games all bundled into one.
The Hero of the Kingdom series was fun kinda like a puzzle game disguised as an RPG. They made like 6 of them and I wish more existed. (Hah I checking i realize they put up a steam page for thr next one, so that’s great)
Little Kitty Big City if you just wanna be a cat. Even more so for Catlateral Damage if you want to destroy things.
Tiny Terry’s Turbo Trip for some bite sized cute GTA-like action.
Winion Virus if you arent affected by trigger warnings of depression and suicide, its a really great story but pretty messed up.

Actually sad that one’s not longer considering it’s $20. I dont mind a short game, but my rule of thumb is $1 per hour. Thats why I buy SquareEnix RPGs or an open world game at full price but for a game like this I gotta wait for an 80% off sale.

Its one of those things that I really hope they make optional, a fun thing to turn on and play with but not always over every game ugh.

Im trans, grew up male thr first 28 years of my life, and I look around everywhere, not because I thought I was in danger but because I have ADHD and cant just look in one direction. I never feared for my well being while walking at night before transition and still dont after, but that fear was never instilled in me I guess.

Yes the synergies are what makes it but im hoping i unlock recollection later because there are some synergies I know will be broken if I can just get all thr perks/abilities at the same time.

So… im a big supporter of squeezing, buy everything they make… but this tells me the quality of their games is going to go down the toilet. Knowing AI it’ll come up with fake lists of bugs that didn’t happen and all the real bugs will not be listed and they’ll release the buggies shit. One thing I LIKE about square, being one of the few companies I do pre-orders from still, is that their products are fairly bug free on launch FFXVI had some graphics optimization issues, but I’ve been happy with most of what I got the past few years.

- Comment on Mastercard release a statement about game stores, payment processors and adult content 9 months ago:
I mainly use PayPal as a necessary evil so I don’t have to pull out my wallet and put the card info in every time I want to buy a game. I dunno maybe I SHOULD go back to that because then only the games that are worth the effort of getting up off the couch are the ones I’d buy.
- Comment on RPGs that are optionally pacifist? 9 months ago:
I mean… Kinda Baldurs Gate 3, especially if you are a high charisma class. You can also be monk. They key is dont use attack spells, and knock everyone out instead of killing them on thr mandatory fights. SO MANY of the fights in that game can be avoided or skipped with dialogue. You can, for example, bluff your way entirely into the enemy bases, use their shops, and completely decide to stay out of conflicts. Again, like you said in NV, sometimes the ‘pacifist’ routr makes you feel like shit. Like, you can skip having to side with either Minthara or the tieflings in act 1 simply by leaving for act 2. A lot of people die in the background though.
Only mandatory fights I think are at the end of act 2, and the final boss fight. Everything else can be avoided or conversationally skipped. In the final fight, depending on allies you got throughout the game you can technically have them fight everyone. Or you can just stealth past everything with greater invisibility or as monk or rogues that can sprint really fast.

Its really odd, cause you’d think they’d just want to make money no matter where it comes from.

I used to read physical books all the time when I was younger, but as I aged and audiobooks became downloads instead of massive multiple disc CD sets, I shifted. Isn’t because I can’t read anymore, and my eyes havent failed me yet that I need reading glasses, but I just like doing OTHER THINGS while reading. Plus I extra love when voice actors make it a PERFORMANCE. In ye old days it used to be just a narrator reading the words, often tonelessly, but Audible books these days are PERFORMANCES. I like popping on an audio book while im driving, while im in bed trying to fall asleep, and while im playing a grindy part in a video game. Or a video game that doesn’t have voice acting so I can enjoy 2 stories simultaneously, or Roguelike video games where there’s no story at all, or story beats only occur when you’re at your home base.
